a gallon of cider is like 6 or 7 bucks.... the 12pack, probably at least 10 bucks. how much was your turkey?

i know you don't have to brine with that stuff, but i really don't have the space, time or extra resources to make a turkey like that. plenty of good turkeys have been made without using that technique or being deep fried.... mine will be one of them.

what in the high hell is your problem?
there is no reason for you to be such a bitch for no reason

now please, calm the fuck down.

brine your turkey, or don't
we really don't give a shit.

let's move on

2 pumpkin pies in the oven right now and some pumpkin pie cupcakes with the leftover mix that wouldn't fit in the pies . And I think I am about to put my sweet potato caserole in the oven when the pies come out.

nothing. i will try to help my mom cook and she will say no and then i will offer to help again and she will say no again. and then i will ask again and she will give me a job and i will do it. then later she will be all agitated and complain that no one ever helps her do anything.

so i will probably just end up making caesar salad

I still haven't decided

But I'm hosting two international students, for a cultural experience, so I feel like I *HAVE* to almost go all out. At the very least, something sweet potato, and pumpkin pie, and who knows what else.

Well we aren't having a tradition Thanksgiving dinner this year. My family is just coming up tomorrow to chill with me, but I have to cook.

I just asked my dad, brother, and sister what their favorite meals were and I'm making all 3 haha. I'm making red beans & rice, stewed okra with shrimp and sausage, and chili (my dad is so unoriginal)

mashed taters

Wife is cooking a bunch of other sides and appetizers/snacks tonight and tomorrow morning. Both of our immediate families are bringing a Bojangles fried turkey and a honey baked ham. They're lazy like that.

I am doing a little Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday while I put up my Christmas tree.

Making a roast duck with orange glaze, stuffed with Wild Rice. Mashed Potatoes. Green Beans.

Kinda a tradition.

Haha I wasn't knocking on the ham, I love me some hbh. I was lamenting our families' laziness in expecting us poor recent grads to cook while they just go buy some stuff.

But I won't be complaining on Thursday though.

For my mother-in-law's thanksgiving I'm making a homemade Carrot Cake with cream cheese icing and squash casserole.

For my mom's thanksgiving on Friday i am making herb roasted turkey breasts, gravy, deviled eggs, brussel sprouts in a lemon butter sauce and sweet tea, and helping everyone else out with the mashed potatoes and whatever else is left over to make.
