Heh, I think it's funny how they make it several servings per sandwich to keep the numbers down
5/8/2008 11:12:27 AM
Sandpiper Subs down in Carolina Beach is my favorite non-chain sub jointother than that I prefer Jersey Mikes for cold subs and Quiznos for hot subs out of the chains
5/8/2008 11:12:42 AM
worst post of the thread goes to XSMP
5/8/2008 11:16:40 AM
Hot subs at charley's ftw
5/8/2008 11:17:16 AM
sandpiper is basically a copy of jersey mikes. even the sub numbers are the same. i agree though, sandpiper is good.
5/8/2008 2:06:27 PM
I literally just finished downing a Hook & Ladder from Firehouse. That thing was awesome

1. j mikes1a. jason's2. firehouse3. quiznos4. charleys
5/8/2008 4:04:25 PM
i dont consider jason's deli a quote unquote subshop. There is just so much more offered there.
5/8/2008 4:34:06 PM
^ Agreed.I love Jason's Deli, but it's not a sub shop. 1. Jersey Mike's2. Quiznos3. Firehouse4. Blimpies5. Jimmy JohnsNever. Subway
5/8/2008 4:35:42 PM
Jersey Mike's Quizno'sJimmy John'sSubwayBlimpie*never had firehouse, but I'd imagine it'd slide into the #3 slot. Also, swap Quizno's and Jersey Mike's if its a Hot Sub.
5/8/2008 4:36:58 PM
i only eat subway if its the last last last thing there is or i'm dragged there. even then, i bitch and moan the entire time
5/8/2008 4:37:52 PM
My rankings: (Never eaten at Firehouse so I did not include it.)1. Jersey Mike's2. Quizno's3. Jimmy John's4. Charley's5. L'il Dino's *6. Subway7. Blimpie ***Not the crappy on-campus Li'l Dino's, but a real one where the full menu is available. **I've only eaten at Blimpie's 2 or 3 times years ago, but I was not impressed.I didn't list Village Deli because they're not a "sub shop" but their subs are pretty good too. I love their meatball...
5/8/2008 6:08:51 PM

5/8/2008 6:55:37 PM

5/8/2008 7:12:38 PM
I miss Jersey Mikes so much
5/9/2008 7:37:21 AM
Just throwing this out there, but Harris Teeter has a little sub place in it now (I've only been to the one at Cameron village) and it is so much better than jersey mikes. 6 inch sub for $2.50.
5/9/2008 7:48:52 AM
5/9/2008 7:57:41 AM
how are you going to bitch about getting free shit somewhere due to where you work
5/9/2008 7:58:36 AM
i wouldn't really call it bitching, haha... free shit is free shit. and believe me, we do appreciate it.it just doesn't make sense to me that businesses having nothing at all to do with the fire service give us more free shit than one that was supposedly founded by people who are in the fire service.]
5/9/2008 8:01:25 AM
and now we know why they have to close on sundays
5/9/2008 8:02:19 AM

5/9/2008 8:03:22 AM
5/9/2008 8:25:31 AM
Yeah the sub counter in the Cameron Village HT has been there for at least 5 years. Good for a super cheap sub but Jersey Mikes pwns in quality.
5/9/2008 8:44:50 AM
1. Sub Concious2. Harris Teeter3. Jersey Mikes4. Quiznos/Firehouse (subs good, but I don't like $9 subs as much as $5 or $6 ones)5. Jimmy Johns
5/9/2008 11:46:20 AM
wow you put Sub Conscious as #1? wowi guess you didnt hang out at the Wilmont as much as me cause I got sick of Sub Conscious quick
5/9/2008 11:47:31 AM
SubConcious has the worst subs in town
5/9/2008 11:48:23 AM

5/9/2008 11:50:10 AM

5/9/2008 12:16:55 PM
im going to J mikes in 10minutes. havent been in forever, but if people are saying it beats out JJs, then it has to be decent. whats their best sub, or your fav, or what they do well, or whatever? spicy++

Let me add a few more franchises to this list, http://www.bellacinos.com/ and http://www.penn-station.com/. Unfortunately the only time I went to a Bellacino's was in Tennessee, but it was amazing. As for Penn Station its not too bad, just a greasier version of Firehouse if thats possible. There is a McAlisters Deli near me as well but I have yet to go there. Also I feel like I should include Panera Bread but I've only been there once and it wasn't great.1. Bellacino's2. Firehouse3. Jersey Mike's4. Subway (I dont understand the hate in this thread )5. Quizno's6. Jimmy Johns (would move up some if they had hot subs)7. Penn Station[Edited on May 10, 2008 at 3:13 AM. Reason : ljlajdfad]

Subway is shit. Any place that doesn't slice the meat right in front of you is shit as far as I'm concerned. But Subway is the only sub chain here so I still eat it
5/10/2008 3:26:43 AM
Well I worked there for a year and a half or so.. I guess I am biased a little bit. :-/
5/10/2008 3:29:33 AM
BUMP FOR JERSEY MIKES WEDNESDAY!
