From the first post of this thread people don't know what pretentious means.

Pretentious does not mean useless.

Neither does it mean exotic, arcane, or technically advanced.

Here are two pretentious majors:

Fashion Design
Interior Design

Engineering isn't pretentious, we fix and run your shit so you philosophy, business and psychology majors don't have to worry about it. If it wasn't for Engineers then your fucking world would fall apart. Get a real major and shut the hell up.

How about any degree from UNC? They often feel their degree's are worth a whole lot more than they really are.

maybe in YOUR field but thats about it. i can tell you 100% that you couldnt sit down and do my job just as i couldnt sit down and do yours.
