I think I just figured out while I was fired. Here's a description of my department by seniority

- brother of one of the company's owners
- me
- two filipino brothers (one with citizenship, one with VISA) working under contract
- nephew of one of the company's owners
- someone they want on the construction side, but want him to get his feet wet estimating
- same as above, but he actually moved into construction last week

So if they wanted to trim the fat and get rid of someone they're not gonna fire people related to owners, or people under contract, or people about to be moved into another department. They're gonna can me.
