page 2 also saysi will cry if duke beats state this year in football. WHICH actually has potential.hopefully we'll never have to use duke football to "defend the honor of nc"although wallace wade is the only state outside of CA the rose bowl was ever played.[Edited on August 11, 2008 at 2:24 PM. UNC, not Duke. UNC at the very least is comprised mostly of North Carolinian's. Why would we want to use Duke as an example when more than half of those shits are Jersey nerds.Further, would you really want to be represented by the likes of fucking WoJo, Chrissy Collins and Lee Melchionni?

If defending NC, I'd use ALL of the UNC system + Duke, Wake, and Davidson....We have a ton of really good schools in NC---I mean APP ST is DI Non Scholy Champs

I can't believe how little state pride some of you have. I think North Carolina is one of the best states in the country all things considered. Sure, there are some things I don't like about it, but overall I can't really think of anywhere else I would want to live right now.ambrosia, no offense, but you seem like the kind of person that would be unhappy with something no matter where you lived to the point that you wanted to move away.

I love living here also. I was born in NC, and have never lived anywhere else. I don't want to live anywhere else. But really,

Eh...you're entitled to your relatively uninformed opinion. (That's not the 'omg you only know me from TWW!' stance...it's no secret on here that I'm a very upbeat person who has some very good things, and that I know it. Being a bitch doesn't mean I'm unhappy )Like I said...NC isn't a bad place to live. It's just not what I would consider a great place to live (unless you're judging it solely on weekend vacation potential, in which case, it is teh winz, given the outer banks and the mountains. I WILL miss those when I move away).I don't know how much prejudice, lack of environmental consciousness, entitlement issues, low value on education and fitness, and things like this I'll find wherever I settle. I expect to find problems everywhere on earth: if there were a place without these negative issues, everyone would move there with a quickness, and ruin it. I do know that NC does have these things I deem shortfalls, and they're another mark against NC/for out west, when I'm thinking about where I want to ultimately settle and raise kids. There are some areas of NC where these problems aren't as prevalent as in others, but it's not too far until you're right back somewhere with them....I'd rather move somewhere else that has the things I want. If that place has some of the same problems NC has...at least I'll be living somewhere new. That has more of the traits I want that NC doesn't have (through no fault of its own)And I have already come to terms that no matter where we live, we just won't be able to escape the stupid. Knowing that I want to live further west, regardless of NC's shortfalls, has been true for a very long time. Like, before I even graduated high school.
