Perhaps instead, The School Tool should be replaced with the Food Tool. Users can rate restaurants and recipes.

dirtymonkey - why didn't you just cancel it yourself in paypal?
4/20/2009 11:59:40 AM
i didn't realize (or remember, rather) that the subscription was an auto-renewing thing. there was no notice email sent saying "you're about to be charged for the next year" or anything like that. which is probably more of a paypal thing than tww, but still. i had no idea when i had originally purchased the premium thing and the only way i knew about it was a notice that i had already been charged. i have canceled it since then, but am still out $25. i'll send another email asking for a refund and if i am still ignored, i'll try the paypal dispute route.

Im sorry but i gotta side with Omar on this. hard lesson learned to keep up with your online expenses. he shouldnt just give you a refund b/c you simply forgot.

i'd love a subforum for housing
4/21/2009 11:08:24 AM
god, ive been saying that for YEARS
4/21/2009 12:17:22 PM
i see your point, gunzz, but you are completely ignoring the fact that i'm a paying customer. my point when asking for a refund is that i don't visit the site that much and that the few premium upgrades were not worth it to me anyway. you can take the route that you and omar take and try to lecture me, assuring yourselves that i'll never pay money for this site again... or you can take nael's route and give me a refund with the possibility that i'd come back later if new features were added. yes, he is being kind enough to give me a refund.on a side note, seems like good business practice to send people a reminder that they are about to be billed. paypal and godaddy need to reach a happy medium. i must have a bajillion emails from godaddy telling me about domains expiring.
4/21/2009 1:01:41 PM
the customer is hardly ever right, sorry but thats the truth. Im glad nael is giving you your money back...im actually surprised he responded at all.
4/21/2009 1:54:07 PM
oh i agree that the customer is hardly ever right. but since they pay the money, that makes them right. i'm usually on the shit end of that scenario so the few times that i'm not, i like to take advantage of it
4/21/2009 2:40:02 PM
in all honesty i dont blame you

^You're forgetting the additional 1/2 "**Official** [insert bar or restaurant here] Appreciation Thread"Not that I'd have a problem with such threads. Or any of the thread types you mentioned. In fact, that all seems like pretty legitimate uses for threads. If you think it's useless, just don't read it. Kind of like I do with the garage.
