You can say he's paid his debt to society, but then again, so has the murderer, rapist, child molester, etc. They've served their time but would you feel comfortable living and working next to these people?I hope someone shatters his leg bones like a china doll.

^^ meh, I guess I can see your point. If you lived next to Vick, there's a strong possibility that he would take your beta fish, and make them fightand, someone found guilty of animal cruelty might KILL a pigskin]

who gives a shit about the dogs. What bothers me is that the fucker had an illegal hobby that was run for the sole purpose of gambling, and now they want to let this fucker play a sport that struggles to keep gambling influences from corrupting the game?Besides, anyone too stupid to throw a few million dollars towards his homeboys to do their time and keep their mouths shut is too stupid to run an NFL offense.

there aren't many people to go to jail for 2 years and then get out and get their job back.because currently if he had to fill out applications... he wouldn't be hired at food lion but will get the NFL job back.dat boy can run!
7/27/2009 8:16:34 PM
i smell jealously all over this place
7/27/2009 8:18:21 PM
What's the point in having him back in the NFL? Bitches like him are a dime a dozen, only now he's been ass raped 6 ways from Sunday.
7/27/2009 8:30:12 PM
7/27/2009 8:33:34 PM
im pretty sure he was one of the fastest players in football, regardless of position. not really a dime a dozen. plus he threw the ball decently.
7/27/2009 8:33:57 PM
I hope the panthers sign him. I need someone to dogsit over Christmas break when I go out of town.
7/27/2009 9:12:25 PM
7/27/2009 9:48:55 PM
damn, just spike the ball in the kid's face why don't you
7/27/2009 9:50:49 PM
It'd be better if they signed him since Jake Delhomme sucks..
7/27/2009 9:50:55 PM
Why hasn't terpball called everyone in this thread a fucking pussy whose asses he will fucking beat if he every sees your fucking pussy faces in public?
7/27/2009 9:56:52 PM

7/27/2009 10:00:30 PM
I'm pretty sure jake delhomme is 100000 times better than vick as a QB
7/27/2009 10:18:25 PM
i totally forgot about ron mexico..lolthe most fucked up of the situation is how vick served more time for running a dog fighting ring than donte stallworth will serve for running over a man while dui
7/27/2009 10:19:05 PM
maybe they should talk to those dog's families, and he can just pay them a lot of money...

If Coach tells you that I missed a dog fight, then that’s that. I may have missed one dog fight this year but if somebody says he missed one dog fight of all the dog fights this year, then that’s enough to get a whole lot started. I told Coach Smith that you don’t have to give the people of Atlanta a reason to think about trading me or anything like that. If you trade somebody, you trade them to make the team better…simple as that. I’m cool with that. I’m all about that. The people in Atlanta deserve to have a winner. It’s simple as that. It goes further than that … If I can’t dog fight, I can’t dog fight. It is as simple as that. It ain’t about that at all. It’s easy to sum it up if you’re just talking about dog fighting. We’re sitting here, and I’m supposed to be the franchise player, and we’re talking about dog fighting. I mean listen, we’re sitting here talking about dog fights, not a game, not a game, not a game, but we’re talking about dog fights. Not the game that I go out there and die for and play every game like it’s my last but we’re talking about dog fights man. How silly is that? … Now I know that I’m supposed to lead by example and all that but I’m not shoving that aside like it don’t mean anything. I know it’s important, I honestly do but we’re talking about dog fighting. We’re talking about dog fighting man. We’re talking about dog fights. We’re talking about dog fights. We’re not talking about the game. We’re talking about dog fights. When you come to the arena, and you see me play, you’ve seen me play right, you’ve seen me give everything I’ve got, but we’re talking about dog fighting right now. … Hey I hear you, it’s funny to me too, hey it’s strange to me too but we’re talking about dog fighting man, we’re not even talking about the game, when it actually matters, we’re talking about dog fighting… How the hell can I make my teammates better by dog fighting?

If the NFL fired everyone with felony convictions, the talent pool would be pretty slim.
7/28/2009 10:37:07 AM
Yeah, who wants to watch a bunch of slow white people play football.
7/28/2009 10:37:57 AM
lol about 80% of the people in this thread would not survive a second pre-200 years ago. What ever happened to survival of the fittest, the old way of things. You see, people don't really have the edge to survive anymore, its just a bunch of whiners trying to overcensor the world to make it a "goody goody place" when its only a matter of time before it turns to hell.

Not all felony convictions are as morally reprehensible as Vick's. I'm not suggesting that all Felonies automatically equal excommunication from the NFL. You have to use some common sense when making a determination, because obviously the type of crime committed should play a major part in the decision, not just the label of "felony."
7/28/2009 10:43:03 AM
so what felonies are acceptible in your opinion?in other words: if you were an employer, what felonies would you be willing to overlook?[Edited on July 28, 2009 at 10:45 AM. Reason : a]
7/28/2009 10:45:28 AM
Well some of those players are washed out in college (see TOB), and I guess the ones who make it far enough to get into the NFL have shown that they can perform on the field regardless of whatever is in their past.Until they shoot themselves in the leg, of course.
7/28/2009 10:45:48 AM
Felony illegal drug use would be an exception in my book, and other non-violent crimes related to drugs, assuming the suspect was only hurting themselves.
7/28/2009 10:50:34 AM
Some people like Donte Stalworth fuck up one time and accidentally kill a personOther people, like Michael Vick, knowingly, purposefully and intentionally strangle and electrocute dogs for not fighting, and do things like this for years and years and years and years and yearsTheres a pretty big difference in fucking up once and knowingly engaging in this stuff for years and yearsBut most people are still like "A HUMAN LIFE IS WORTH MORE THAN DOG'S LIFE THEREFORE I WILL IGNORE ANY OTHER DIFFERENCES BETWEEN VICK AND STALWORTH"]
7/28/2009 10:54:04 AM
Well a large number of employers look at candidates with a past drug history as a risk. I admit that this isn't fair in a lot of cases, but it's just the way it is. A major company isn't going to take the chance on someone who could "fall off the wagon", come into work fucked up, and do something stupid that COULD in fact to harm to others. Especially when there are plenty of candidates with no criminal backgrounds whatsoever.[Edited on July 28, 2009 at 10:57 AM. Reason : w]

You know one of the signs of a sociopath is someone that hurts animals for fun. Do you really want this guy representing any NFL team? He's sick in the head.^Are we talking about a professional athelete trying to get a job, or your average joe? Obviously the average joe doesn't have the same leverage that Vick does, but I still believe that felony illegal drug use should not be looked upon within the same vein of judgement as other more morally reprehensive felonies. I guess that makes me a merciful judge in some ways, but clearly the crimes are different in pre-meditation and overall integrity.[Edited on July 28, 2009 at 11:01 AM. Reason : -]
7/28/2009 10:56:16 AM
I wouldn't really want a former drug addict representing my team either. The same can be said for the plethora of athletes with domestic violence charges.I guess my point is that a pro-athlete is supposed to be a role model, so you can't really say that 1 felony is any more acceptible than another.
7/28/2009 11:03:36 AM
Then, Michael Phelps is not a role model? Correct? Just because someone is charged with felony illegal drug use, that doesn't mean they are always a drug addict.[Edited on July 28, 2009 at 11:07 AM. Reason : -]
