I keep a body space, I'm like addicted to that site and trying to help others lose weight now. Its also where I blog/log my workouts and then transfer them here Really keeps me on track. As far as women, I've got one, long distance, I've got a year left in school before I can make anything of the relationship though.

Please note, smath and I did not date.

And I used to spend 4 hrs per day at the ncsu gym. A little addicted, but I chilled out with that.

And porcha, whoa! That's drastic. Great job!

Honestly, match is a bad deal for guys. I think the ratio is off. Girls get too many emails to respond to.

Haha, smath. jk, we just b0ned @ the gym. No dating. Puhleaze!

Haha, I would never pay for a dating site when there are free ones.

But honestly, they tend to suck for guys, period. It's not just that one.

My weight fluctuated like hell when I was in undergrad. Didn't practice portion control and exercised only when I felt like it. Didn't have the knowledge or motivation to make a plan and stick to it.

All the fatties must be lurking or something. Half the people in this thread never broke 200 lbs.

After last night's date, I feel it's worth every penny. Not that I'm in love or anything, but I do think it can help you find friends and potential partners who have similar tastes and interests.

i met my boyfriend on match. he's like super athlete, actually wins triathlons and shit like that. when we met, i was a gym-goer but not very serious. since we've been together i've gotten in progressively better shape and have gotten into running and other activities in a more serious capacity.

I indirectly met my wife on match.

I was a workaholic and in a mild slump because all my other single friends were workaholics as well and I wasn't really working to hard on the gf front.

match had a free 30 days thing and I figured, why the hell not. I somehow ended up with a 3 or 6 months subscription or something because I didn't cancel before the trial was up so I used it. I ended up meeting one girl who was cool but I wasn't quite her type. We stayed in touch and would have lunch every few weeks or so because she worked close to me. A few months later she happened to invite her roomate along to my birthday celebrations and a little over 2 years later and we were married.

So, I suppose if you are reasonably outgoing and at least somewhat adaptable and sociable, you could add people to your circle of friends who may know people.

I got really close to 320 my last year of college. I had grown up working all the damn time between farm, family surveying company, and school sports, so I could eat a lot of calories and keep most of it off. by my senior year, I was working a desk job and taking classes during all of my spare time, yet still eating garbage.

I got down to about 230 a couple years after school for the lowest I've been since high school, and I gained weight through the first year of marriage until I was almost 280 again. I'm currently at 265 and will continue to diet through the end of the year to reach about 245. That should put me at a healthy weight for my frame.

I'm at 220 currently, and that is the highest I have been.
When I started college I was 180, and dropped to 165 from working out.
I'm trying (barely) to get back to 190

Highest was 285 when I graduated from high school. By the end of my freshman year of college I was 185.

Since then I've been on like two year cycles where I range from 200-250. Lucy's point is interesting, but it seems like the total opposite for me sometimes, I seem to get into relationships when I'm not in great shape and be single when I am.

I don't think I've ever hit 175. I'm 6'7" though, so at some point I'd really like to. I just want to make sure it's muscle instead of gut when it happens.

I weighed 170 and dropped to about 120 over the course of a semester and stayed there for a couple years. Now I'm pretty steady at around 135 or less but I'm working to get down to about 125 or 130. That's a pretty healthy weight for me because I'm 5'3" but hourglassy.

I don't stress about it though. I eat pretty well and jog a couple times a week for the pleasure of it so my weight decreases steadily if slowly. I've been 135 or under for the last five years or more though.

I'm going to show you my embarrassing freshie fat pictures. Like others, I keep them to remind myself not to do that to again!

The first one is from 2004 and the next ones are a few months ago.

So yes, I used to be chunky and now I'm not.

Metricula, you look pretty at both weights, but I LOVE your dress in the 2nd pic. It looks GREAT on you.

I was around 118 last year but am back up to 125 and 12 percent body fat due to seeing a trainer. I may stop, though, bc I don't want this much muscle mass. My skinny jeans don't fit as well.
