in my office at work:

i have 4 monitors, an iMac, 2 dell desktops, 2 powermac G5s, a laptop, and a catalyst 3750 as my desktop switch

i have a large model fire truck on one of my bookcases as well as various toys and lego models

i printed out that Periodic Table of Typefaces on the huge ass 48" plotter. it now adorns one of my walls.

there is a schematic currently drawn on my whiteboard.

people have started to refer to my office as "the command center."

various people from various other departments will drop by sometimes whenever they're stuck on a problem to see if i can come up with anything. this is happening more and more as apparently people are telling other people to come ask me questions.

i have bookshelves upon bookshelves of tech books.

i have enough supplies to work a full code if needed. ironically, i was on vacation during the last two codes that have happened in my building. (guess that's more medical geek than tech geek)

it was a very lucky strike. when i emailed CERN for a tour they couldn't fit me in until Oct 22. i was disappointed and my friend, who i am going to visit, happens to have a really good friend at CERN that offered to give me a private tour. of course i accepted, its even more geektastic than a guided tour!

I'll spend hours reading up on internal combustion engine theory and practice...and pondering ways to get 50 mpg on my car.

Or designing a new model airplane.

I got excited when Crime Warner gave me a phone number where the last 4 digits were a power of 2.

This is something that should be in the "What makes you an old man?" thread.
