it was my soph or jr year (can't remember) was in class somewhere near harrelson, someone pulled the fire alarm, we all filed outside to the brickyard and then my mom called and told me vague details...a plane hit the tower, etc (im thinking a single engine or something)

then things got weird and no one tried to get us to go back to class, so i left, walked toward my car and remembered that left right wings had big tvs at he time so i walked in and watched in there...saw the magnitude of the first strike, and then watched live as the second plane hit and then as the first and second tower fell. still remember a weird confusion about what i was seeing and what i could comprehend was happening, both pretty far apart in my mind

then went home and watched news for the rest of the day, and then i remember the emails/phone calls like OMG GO GET GAS ITS GONNA GO UP TO $800/gal!!!!11

I was in E 101 building towers out of straws to see which team could build the tallest tower and still hold a coke can. I then went back to my dorm and my roommate showed me what was going on on the news. Kinda ironic if you ask me.

I saw a news report about this married guy who stole like 30k from his friends' businesses because he was all ga-ga over this stripped (who he never even fucked!!!) and he was spending money to keep her around. He went to turn himself in on 9/11 then the planes hit and the popo were like "come back later".

I was in my second sophomore year (which is a story for another time). I was attending Green Hope and, for the first time, I saw rich people get scared. My Latin teacher turned on the TV and cried for an hour. We weren't allowed to watch TV in PreCal. We discussed it for an hour in ELP. And for Computer Apps, we all made Power Point presentations for our favorite thing about America.

I also remember my dad being pissed and for the first time, I thought about joining the military.
