My car got rear ended on 40 a couple of weeks ago. A guy in an 87 Volvo was driving from Durham to Charlotte (after picking up his girlfriend). He slammed in to a brand new Honda Accord (the guy had not made his first payment) and then the Honda slammed in to my 2006 Chevy Cobalt...

The other two cars are totalled... Mine had a scratch so State Farm gave me $500 bucks. My dad is going to fix it. cha-ching.

The guy in the Volvo kept saying "Why couldn't I have hit the guardrail????"

you could have made them feel worse without cussing at them. You should have just walked around the truck, noticed there was no damage to your bumper, and then proceed to inform the other driver of how fucked up their front end is and how it's never going to look right again. You could also tell them about how their insurance is about to get crazy expensive.

i got bumped a few times in college, and didnt see damage on my car, and just let them go on their way

most noteworthy, a girl talking on her cell in the dan allen deck went right under my trailer hitch and fucked her shit up, no damage on mine, she started crying and shit - i ended up getting a date with her

the other, a bug hit me in the rear, completely fucked up their hood, by nothing visible on my car, so i told them they could go too.

what goes around comes around - i backed into a guy about a year after that (did quite a bit of damage), we exchanged info, and despite repeated calls from me, he wouldnt let me help him with it
