Figured I would check in now, I work here on Pylon just down from the station. No lunch today for me been on lockdown since 1 just told us it was fine to unlock the doors finally. Definitely heard what appeared to be shots fired about 20 minutes ago Im guessing it was taking his ass down finally.

He was hold up in what I think is the HILTI office(cant remember and couldnt tell from looking at the back side of the building). We watched the SWAT fire in some flash grenades then drag him down the back staircase across the alley from our office. Shit was crazy

I monitored a good deal of this while at work in Durham yesterday...the parts I missed I went back and listened to on Radioreference.com's audio archives...and for those wondering: Yes, there are scanners/receivers in the $100 price range BUT you will miss out on 99% of Wake County if you purchase one of those...Wake County operates digital talkgroups on the state of NC VIPER system...that means you need a digital capable scanner which can run in the price range of $300 low end or $500 top end....I beta test radios for one of the 2 main scanner manufactures...to give you an idea of the top of the line radios right now here are 2 pics of my radios:
