i don't find them particularly relevant just because they still release albums that the same people who bought their albums for the last 20-30 years still buy and because bono has forced himself into being a public figure and is for all intents and purposes an egotistical, self righteous douche bag. and i don't know if it's just because the bands i listen to just happen to not have been influenced by u2, but i literally cannot think of any band that has appeared after them that has cited u2 as an influence. but maybe there are a lot. who knows.

i definitely do not put fleetwood mac or rem on the same level as U2

part of hooksaw's criteria was that the band still had to have its original lineup. the rolling stones have gone through several replacement members, and charlie watts wants to call it quits from what i understand. it's really not a fair requirement since there's not much anyone can do if an original member dies or something.

damn, that was pretty cool... they could spend a bit more on the stage though, looked a bit toned down and boring
