what is worse, arguing about something you care about or arguing to try to convince others they shouldnt care about things

why did you even click on the thread if it is so asinine. seems like taking the time would be beneath you.

that said your basic thesis is, for the most part, incorrect. people argue about what kind of bbq is the best, but the vast vast majority of the time it is good natured. it is something fun to care about, like the other thing you knock on, sports. eastern style bbq is our sports team. like almost any subject, there are crazies that cant have a normal conversation about something they disagree with w/out getting in an argument, but it is hyperbole to suggest that people are getting seriously upset over which bbq you choose
