i actually tried to sell some barbies at a yard sale a few years back (my mom's barbies) and a doll collector told me not to because they don't make them some way anymore and those were "collectibles" so i didn't sell them and now they are still in my attic. hmmm.

Hit up ebay to check what the market rate for those dolls are right now. You might be surprised what some people are willing to pay.
