i always thought i was a smart girl. i mean, i got nothing lower than a B until my senior year of HS, and that was in fucking AP Calculus. but i never got higher than an 1190 on the SATs. and that seriously made me feel like a dumb fuck.

10/21/2009 3:19:01 PM
I think we should just do a "Rile Up McDanger" thread. It's just too easy.

I can't piss far at all. The one category in which women are inferior. But I double majored in English and partying. Guess which major is more valuable?

no, noi graduated with biochem and biology (i reallllly wish genetics was a major when i was here then i would DEFINITELY have it, too, as a BS, but i ended up minoring in that and psychology)I dabbled with my mentor/boss professor with getting a masters in biochemistry (specifically in genomics) but I really dig protein protein interactions and people.the lab ratting job was rewarding in the end, but i was mentally drained at the end of the day.i was taking in any really new information you knowand i LOVE learning (wow im a dork)So I'm at Campbell getting a doctorate of pharmacy at the moment, debating on masters in clinical research as well, but probably not. i like my free time too much [Edited on October 21, 2009 at 3:30 PM. I applied to UNC-CH and was waitlisted. The only other school I applied to was NCSU.Not taking that process more seriously (not thinking about it at all) was a big mistake. I've talked to friends about it, and they've all remarked that I had a weird attitude about college...I acted like it wasn't happening, like there was going to be another year of high school...I had "apply to college" on my to-do list so I got stoned and took a few minutes to apply online one night. I vaguely remember my parents trying to talk to me about it and just blowing them off.Even now that I'm finally graduating, I'm still not excited. I still can't seem to care about all the organizations, opportunities, networking, graduate school, things I need to do to get a job, etc... I'm just like, "Well, college is over. Guess I'll apply for a job somewhere and take the GRE sometime."It's like they make milestones in life so fucking cheesy that the cool kid in me opts out.

10/21/2009 3:31:03 PM
it really depends on what typepetroleum chemists probably make the most, 40-50K+ entry level no experience with a sizable upswing (not like most engineers who won't get a much raise from their entry salary for a while sometimes), analytical chemists probably 40k range starting with a high ceiling as well...haven't really looked into other kinds everbiochem =! chem though
