that's from my house, halloween 200.....4? they had a halloween party at his place in sumter square and the whole party trekked down to my place at some point

I miss living at Sumter Square sometimes... mostly when I think of how close it is to that new Sonic

sumter was awesome for me. my sis had bad luck though. someone trashed her jeep and then peed in it. my last place in raleigh was sooooo close to sonic. right before my dog was put to sleep we went everyday to get him tatertots. that is all he would eat. he had this big ass tumor in his mouth that we removed and it came right back, so it hurt to eat, but he made the sacrifice for sonic tots.

the "mall" is kmart, two shoe places, an "arcade," a hair place, a nail place, a handbag place, a diner, and a chinese place. i think there is a dept. store too.
10/25/2009 3:46:06 AM
there's also a sports place and a radioshackand yeah, it has a belk if i remember correctlyi didn't think the arcade was there anymore
10/25/2009 3:51:01 AM
there are like three games in a closet or something

lmaothe funniest part is the k-mart, though.ohhhh and also, there's this thai place that's in the shopping center across the street from the theater... the same one with lowes foods/sonic in it... it's awesome as hell, and the waiter is seriously cute.]

i saw that the other day. we go to the mexican place a lot and of course we take christopher to sonic all the time. his "girlfriends" work there. i've never had thai food.

I too went to the vet off atlantic avenue, back when that was the only sonic around. The cats always had to wait in the carrier while I had cheese fries after any vet visit since I was rarely in that part of town otherwise. Back when Katherine aka Unipride got the kittens I got 2 of them, I believe she kept one, Shley got one (so most of the kitten siblings lived in sumter square) and 1 was adopted by an employee there at the vet clinic (I think it was called Brentwood or Brent something vet clinic?).And yeah that mall wasn't much of a mall, if you wanted to go to a real mall you went to Hanes Mall in Winston. Heck if you wanted to do anything, including get a full time job, you basically went to Winston. As I grew up more and more friends parents had less and less jobs in Mt. Airy and that was pre-recession.

i did not go to that vet. i worked at mayfair animal hospital. tucker got sick right after they built the sonic at buck jones.

Oh.If you ever need a good vet in Mt Airy, I remember the one on West Lebanon was pretty good. I "shadowed" there a few times in high school and we started taking our family dog there after a bad experience with another vet that was near the Quincey's (how I miss their bread). I wonder if its odd that I remember vet clinics not by name, but by location relative to food service establishment?Foothills Pet Health Clinic on 89 wasn't terrible, I worked there for a while in High School. That experience basically got me job at Carrboro Plaza Vet where I just finished working for 3 years (yay for college degree), before going back to grad school which I'm doing now. What has you in Mt. Airy now anyways?

interesting story. i moved to hiddenite to work, a guy i knew from raleigh came to the mine as a counselor for a field trip, we started dating, he moved to hiddenite to be with me, he got offered more hours in mt airy, where he is from, and my job became a living hell after the boss's grandson took a bunch of pills at my house and i told him not to come back if all he was gonna do was get drugged up. so we moved to westfield, where his dad owns a house. a kickass 200 year old house actually. ben's mom lives in mt airy and we stay here when he has to be at work early or we want to hang out with his brothers. his dad used to be the district attorney up here for a decent amount of time.
