I don't understand you "closed" people, it makes me feel a bit trapped. My ex-bf always had to have the door shut, and you had to hear the 'click' no matter what time of day or night it was or it would bother him.

I leave the door mostly pulled closed so less light gets through in the morning, but with about six inches cracked open so our cat can come and go without having to push on the door.

When I'm at home I can't close my door like I normally do. The dog sleeps with me at the beginning of the night and usually gets up and leaves in the middle of the night to sleep in my parents room. Then comes back in the morning. If my door is closed she'll whine until I wake up and open it.

With the cats, they'll bat the door until I get up and open it for them. Stupid animals.

i always sleep with mine open even when i had roomates and i sleep butt ass naked on top of the covers, they learn pretty quick to stay out

door wide open. my wife used to like it closed, but I've convinced her otherwise. plus, she'd rather be able to hear everything going on in the house rather than guessing at noises from behind the door.

that and the dog will take care of any intruders

the dog tends to either choose her bed (in my room) or the recliner to sleep in

plus the air circulation is kinda poor and my bedroom on a corner gets hotter/colder by a degree or two, no need to make that worse
