***keep in mind i haven't been male yet, so i cant speak for them

women seemed to be judged MUCH MORE CRITICALLY than men do.

1. do you know how bad it SUCKS to shave your legs?
yes i know guys shave their face everyday, but its a little different.
trust me-i dont think you would like my leg 5 o'clock shadow.

2. all the makeup, and hair highlighting, and weight issues (which was already brought up).
its so very sad that in this day when mental capabilities should be the deciding factor-they're not
[but if you are any sort of scientist, or believe in evolution, you understand the theory of trophy wives.
unfortunately, its ingrained.

however men have to put up with this shit.

also why are people saying its harder for men to marry into money?
i know women do it more often, but don't brush it off that it's rare for men. i know several guys who have.

Here is my 2 cents

In this country, women can succeed. However, they must work much harder than men for the same result in the business world. Also, even in this age, women are expected to bear much more of the household/ child-raising duties than men. In a home where two incomes are needed and both parents work 40+ hours a week, it is USUALLY the woman doing the majority of the cooking, cleaning, shopping, child care, etc. I realize that our generation is much better in sharing of duties than our parents, but the balance is still remarkably skewed.

Add to it the fact that a lot of men in our society can't man up and take care of a child emotionally or financially so they just walk away. That leaves a whole lot more single women raising children than men. Yes, we do have it harder.

Not necessarily true. Childless women are generally outperforming men in the business world these days. The emotional skills the average woman possesses makes them far more adept at the modern business environment.
