I haven't been on Shorpy in a while, but I think my favorite pictures on there are the ones where stuff is ghosted because it was moving. This happens a lot with the cars -- you'll just see the front half and it just disappears -- it's really cool if the car is parked in a parking space. Here's a cool shot.http://www.shorpy.com/files/images/12303a1.jpg[Edited on November 27, 2009 at 1:38 AM. I found this one interesting due to the tattoo of his ssn on his arm. I guess it made it easier for him to get paid when working odd jobs. Shorpy did some research and found that this guy was born in 1912 and died in 1980, and was 27 when this picture was takenhttp://www.shorpy.com/node/921[Edited on November 27, 2009 at 10:35 AM. my Great-Grandmother's brothers, circa 1915straight up cold chillin' with the Missouri Mafia. the younger guy shown by himself died in 1917 from the influenza pandemic.my Great-Great-Grandparents from Maine, circa 1898i think the guy was a sailor with the merchant marine. his gal looks like she was a voodoo witchdoctor or something.
