rat soup your opinion doesn't matter
11/30/2009 10:36:24 PM
chris farley with will ferrell close behind. skits like the cow bell, matt foley the motivational speaker, harry carey impersonation, a & e biography, chip n dales dancers, el nino, the lovers, i drive a dodge stratus---i could watch over and over.phil hartman not once...ever...made me laugh. seriously. not even a pity laugh.[Edited on November 30, 2009 at 10:39 PM. Reason : forgot the stratus skit.]

Andy Kaufman?
11/30/2009 10:41:29 PM
Maybe Rat Soup is a fat, obnoxious, stereotypical loud fat man and thats why he doesnt think Farley was funny
11/30/2009 10:47:42 PM
Ratsoup is just a terrible person from now on
11/30/2009 10:48:51 PM
I'm a big fan of Bill Hader as of late.
11/30/2009 10:50:20 PM
^^ funny how neither you nor anyone else has bothered to argue a case for why chris farley was funny. and if it's the same argument as for why i said he's NOT funny, then that sucks.
11/30/2009 10:50:35 PM
he was just funny...all you gotta have is a sense of humor to realize it^but Farley actually was funny...i dunno, im not gonna convince you otherwise[Edited on November 30, 2009 at 10:53 PM. Reason : .]
11/30/2009 10:51:19 PM

Hartman was awesome. He was a great straight man and complimented the rest of the cast nicely. Not everyone has to do loud, obnoxious, and painfully low brow humor.I still remember the day I was in the weight room in high school and the radio announced that he'd died.
11/30/2009 10:54:38 PM
yeah fuck Phil Hartman's wife

The original SNL cast worked well and gave a most interesting program, but I would not call any of them the greatest cast member of all time.Move ahead to more recent years and Tina Fey and Amy Pouler would get my nominations for the strongest female cast members.I feel the best cast member of all time is Eddie Murphy. His comic skills gave us some of the best characters and moments in the 35 year history of the program.
11/30/2009 10:59:26 PM
I guess the only humor you enjoy is intellectual. Personally, I'm going to laugh every time some fat ass crashes through a table, and when someone does something funny thats deeper or wittier or more clever.]

OMG SOMEONE THINKS THE SAME THING AS ME. I'M SO RIGHT. RRAWRRAWRRAWRRAWRRAWRRAWRAWR

Rat Soup won this shit
11/30/2009 11:01:21 PM
^^^ I appreciate it all. The strength is in the variety of the cast. That's probably why so few cast members have gone on to be hugely successful even after being wildly popular on SNL.[Edited on November 30, 2009 at 11:01 PM. Reason : .]
^i was talking to Rat Soupi also enjoy it all...i just dont know many people who didnt think Farley was funny, so this comes as kind of a surprise to me[Edited on November 30, 2009 at 11:02 PM. Reason : .]
11/30/2009 11:02:16 PM
^^^ how do you figure?[Edited on November 30, 2009 at 11:03 PM. Reason : .]
11/30/2009 11:03:01 PM
Chris Kattan as Mr. Peepers was funny.
11/30/2009 11:03:39 PM
Farley was great, but if the show was just 90 minutes of people breaking fake furniture then it wouldn't be nearly as funny.
11/30/2009 11:04:01 PM
he was ok, but it was different. He himself was a funny person, but he wasnt really "talented funny" if that makes sense. Most of his best moments were when he fucked up or the other cast members started cracking up and not what he was actually doing in the skit, he could have been doing anything as long as the other cast members start laughing

I said he was funny, but that doesnt mean he is the best cast member, it just means other people laugh at him fucking up
11/30/2009 11:12:07 PM
By that logic Jimmy Fallon is a god.
11/30/2009 11:13:35 PM
I have a hard time picking just one. Plus you've got guys like Mike Myers, who was funny as hell on SNL, but I've been so over-exposed to him over the last 10 years or so from movies, that it skews my perspective on him as an SNL member.I think Kevin Nealon was crazy underrated.^no, by that logic people who make Jimmy Fallon crack up are funny. But thats not true, cause he is by far the most likely cast member I've ever seen ever to crack up all the time. He just can't keep his shit together.[Edited on November 30, 2009 at 11:14 PM. 11/30/2009 11:21:35 PM
Who does Jimmy Fallon make laugh? I've seen plenty of people make HIM laugh but not the other way around.
11/30/2009 11:22:08 PM
Tim Meadows is underrated as well.[Edited on November 30, 2009 at 11:22 PM. Reason : flame on]
11/30/2009 11:22:43 PM
^^ he made people laugh during skits by starting to laugh himself. it happened a lot on SNL.[Edited on November 30, 2009 at 11:23 PM. Reason : .]

jimmy fallon makes me sorta ill he's so terrible at being on television
11/30/2009 11:25:37 PM
His show has gotten a lot better.
11/30/2009 11:27:38 PM
He's not a bad interviewer.
11/30/2009 11:30:57 PM
I like how Don Pardo pronounced everybody's names"Dana Caaaah-vee"..."Raaaaaahb Schneeeeeider"..."Chris Faaaaaah-lee"
11/30/2009 11:44:25 PM
i wish martin short had spent more time as a cast member. he probably would've been up there on the list of all time greats on SNL.
12/1/2009 12:07:17 AM
I don't think anybody was really great on their own, but there are some all time great duos and also the "Bad Boys of SNL".Also, everyone's favorite choice will be from their junior year of high school.
