i visited several "facilities" before our honeymoon in 2008, looking for somewhere to board our 3 cats. and by several, i mean more than 1 or 2.

all of them were the same. they keep the cat in a cage (no more than 4' x 4' x 4') and that's where the cat stays. they get out a couple hours a day to "play" in a big room with other cats they don't know (which like i said, leads to hissing and fighting and hiding in the corner) then they get shoved back in the cage. this happens every day until you come pick them up.

no house cat that i know of gets shoved in a cage all day while he's at home. he gets free reign of the house, he wanders around, he does his own thing. so even if he's alone, he's happy. a cat that is boarded is not happy.

so seeing your cute cat makes me SAD because i know you're going to spend $$$ to board him, when you can spend $5/day on me and i'll come by, feed him, give him love, and clean his poops - and he'll be free to roam the house and not be locked in a cage all god damned day.

i'm sorry but this subject really bothers me, so it's best i just not come back to this thread. i love animals more than i love most people.

the vet i worked at didn't even have the play room for cats they stayed in the cage the whole time

you could buy extra walks for your dog but that just meant they got to go out in a small fenced in area for like 5 seconds a day

the other boarding facility i worked at was different though. HOWEVER, the reason we boarded our dog at the vet (near the end of her life) was due to health problems.

yes, dogs are way different. they have to be walked/let outside to do their business. so they get much more attention. cats are fine if left ignored in a cage, so that's what happens 9 times out of 10.

and don't fucking tell me i'm generalizing again. it's the same at all these places. even fucking PetSmart Pet Hotel only gives them 1hr/day to "socialize" in a room. you have to pay for extra.

jesus christ. i'm gonna go hug my cats now.

we left our 2 cats home alone for like 10 days. we put out 2 big litter boxes, and the self filling water and food things... they were perfectly fine. i would never pay to have to take them somewhere and have them be uncomfortable in a little cage/room.

oh where i worked the dogs didn't get let out to do their business i was agreeing with you!!! at least at the VET i worked at

the doggy camp i worked at was slightly different (with the dogs i mean - a LOT better with the dogs, i dunno about the cats cause i didn't work with them! but the dogs got to go on nature trail walks and play in a big yard with a slide and stuff v. the vet which seriously had like a teenie tiny fenced in area with barely any grass)

your dog is cute and all, but saying a cat isn't a real pet, or that a guy has no business owning a cat if he's single and living alone, is so fucking closed minded and ignorant that i really don't even need to say something. you do a good job looking ignorant all on your own.

nothing about that post (or your prior post) was joking or funny, so using the face doesn't make it that way

also, the whole "you're fat" and "you've had naked pics on TWW" thing is so 5 years ago - like, quite literally 2004. if you could maybe use more current insults, that would be appreciated.

^^ that would probably be equally as stressful to the cat as spending the week locked in a cage, with other strange cats.

it means that I'm fabulous

and no, you're not a bad person because overweight. you're a bad person because you're overweight, had surgery to try to do something about it, and are failing. you also complain all the time and you're just fucking annoying.

also, the whole "you're tall" and "you have a gummy smile" thing is so 5 years ago - like, quite literally 2004. if you could maybe use more current insults, that would be appreciated.

Maybe Im just a different type of a person but the whole reason I got a cat over a dog was so that I wouldnt have to do this. Ive left my cat for 4 or 5 days and not thought twice about it. I just make sure she has a couple extra bowls of food and water left out and I clean the litter box before I leave. If someone is gonna be around I ask them to check on her water but if not I just clean the toilet and leave the bowl open as a last resort emergency lol. I only do this because sometimes she gets bored and tips her water bowl over so if she does than then its her fault she has to drink from the toilet till I get back. Maybe I should feel bad about this but I really dont.
