I don't know any thin people that have the willpower to eat only 3 potato chips either
1/4/2010 4:04:51 PM
pooljobs, you have the right idea.I also eat what I want but I control my portions, but I am also pretty active. But this woman though gets here around 6 am before everyone else, and everyone swears she doesn't really get to work until 8 or 9. But she stays late until 530 or 630. She is obviously overworking herself-- probably one of the reasons why she can't take weight off. She is also way too involved with her daughters' life...soccer practice, instrument practice that she has very little time in the evening to probably even cook. And the cycle continues, because I will bet a quick meal will be pizza from Dominos or something from the freezer, which probaby isn't healthy either.
1/4/2010 4:05:25 PM
How do even know all that? She’s always on the fucking phone and I sit cross from her. Really annoying. So my assumption about dinnertime is probably correct.
1/4/2010 4:09:17 PM
i'm going to make a spinach and romaine saladi like spinach but ALL spinach is too squeaky on my teeth and i don't like iti wonder what else i could put on my salad. hmmmm. i don't think we have anything else.
1/4/2010 4:11:03 PM
my lunch today was a 2/3 lb bacon bison pimento cheese burger, w/ a salad, and sweet potato fries.I left a couple of fries.

1/4/2010 5:11:51 PM
pshi've decided that i'm gonna throw out the salad diettic tacs and cocaine baby. then i'll only have to diet for a month
1/4/2010 5:15:33 PM
1/4/2010 5:21:36 PM
Im not a big salad fan.I'd rather have steamed, grilled, sauteed, etc. vegetables on the side. I feel more full with this.
1/4/2010 5:45:18 PM
Salad blows unless you dump 500 calories of dressing on it.
1/4/2010 5:45:54 PM
I like to snack on olives. They're fatty, but sooo good.Plus I think it's the good fat.
1/4/2010 6:19:55 PM
my 5'7 127 lb g/f wants to "eat healthier".So not really a diet....but i can't blame her i guess
1/4/2010 6:23:12 PM
^My thin g/f, too, wants to eat healthier, so I'm helping her out with eating in and cooking healthy instead of going to the likes Bojangles and McDonalds all the time.--I used to eat salads without dressing when I ate in the dining halls on campus. Most of the ingredients were so fresh (to me at least) that I didn't really need it.;[Edited on January 4, 2010 at 6:34 PM. Reason : lkj]

1/4/2010 6:39:40 PM
I, too, have a thin gfshit, nm, I'm single, again.[Edited on January 4, 2010 at 6:40 PM. Reason : ^ but I heard/read on msm that you should blah blah blah]
1/4/2010 6:40:16 PM
1/4/2010 6:44:52 PM
lettuce is gross
1/4/2010 6:45:28 PM
salad sucks unless you dump 500 calories of meat on it.
1/4/2010 6:57:17 PM
i like salad sans meat and dressingbut whatever floats your boat!
1/4/2010 6:58:02 PM
oh dear lord. i eat fats relatively often.im very in tune with my diet though (although for the past four weeks or so ive not paid much attention to it...sort of on purpose, too long for me to explain )right now.avacados are my jam.i think ive eaten them 5 days out of every week for the past month
1/4/2010 7:03:37 PM
khcadwal, i totally mix spinach and romaine together all the time. The romaine mixes it up a bit, since the spinach doesn't have "crunch"salad ftw
1/4/2010 7:03:41 PM
^^ god avocados and cheese are like...my 2 main food groups i also <3 olives.^ good! i didn't want to be a freak with my leafy greens
1/4/2010 7:04:33 PM
omg. now i want some homemade guac
1/4/2010 7:07:59 PM
I like a mix of arugula and curly endive for salads with a slightly sweet vinaigrette, some salted nut/seed, dried fruit, and a nice creamy cheese.that's the blueprint for a tasty salad.
1/4/2010 7:11:23 PM
mmmmpear and blue cheese salad(the fruit doesn't even HAVE to be dry! but i love dried crans. omnom)
1/4/2010 7:12:40 PM
With a vinaigrette makes any green salad yummers.
1/4/2010 7:13:04 PM
1/4/2010 7:15:02 PM
satisfied, perhaps. In a fatass food coma, feeling sluggish for a couple of hours? most likely.
1/4/2010 7:16:55 PM
I don't give a shit.apples don't fucking satisfy.
1/4/2010 7:20:25 PM
apples satisfy - with a little peanut butter on them. and maybe a few raisins.
1/4/2010 7:21:14 PM
For lunch yesterday I had a Granny Smith Apple with Nutella. It was definitely satisfying and oh so good.
1/4/2010 7:22:05 PM
this time of year, the fruit has to be dried for me... what seasonal fruits can you get locally right now?Oh yeah, i also try to do local/seasonal selections for my home-cooking. Goat cheese, dried bing cherries, and a cherry-port vinaigrette... i would kill someone to have that right now... but i am lazy and not gonna go to the store to buy the stuff to make it right now.
1/4/2010 7:23:39 PM
^^ooh granny smith with nutella. that sounds heavenly
1/4/2010 7:24:20 PM
well yea, duh... that's like me saying an apple satisfies if you eat it with a double fucking cheeseburger
1/4/2010 7:25:34 PM
a tablespoon of a nut butter =/= a double cheeburger
1/4/2010 7:26:28 PM
the point is, the satisfaction aint comin from the apple
1/4/2010 7:26:53 PM
What a great funny thread!
1/4/2010 8:42:17 PM
i normally eat healthy but fell off the wagon recently. travelling a lot had me eating too much fast food. the first few days of getting back on track is always the worst.
1/4/2010 8:44:24 PM
All you dieters need to get on a strength based workout plan. Getting stronger allows you to move more weight, which builds more muscle. More muscle = higher metabolism, which requires you to eat more.PM me for training inqueries.
1/4/2010 9:49:52 PM
^doth agreethLook at my lunch... there were 3 more of equal size today... ...plus 2 workout shakes [Edited on January 4, 2010 at 9:53 PM. Reason : ]

1/4/2010 9:54:22 PM
well its always an issue with getting my calorie intake back under control. i love eating healthy. i can't really eat the greasy/bad for you foods anymore because of my allergy.
1/4/2010 9:55:36 PM
i love eating greasy/bad food on occasion. then i just work out some more so i don't get fat.
1/4/2010 9:56:11 PM
I need to get back in the habit of eating a can of tuna around 3PM and eating a smaller lunch. I get so sick of eating tuna after a while that I have to take a break from it, and it's hard to remember to buy bulk beef jerky or canned chicken to keep in the office.
1/4/2010 11:05:56 PM
I'm doing Weight Watchers again. I'm finding that if I actually get all of the servings of fruit, veggies, etc. that I'm supposed to have on a balanced diet that I'm overly full. Us fat people must be seriously under nourished for all the calories we take in.
1/4/2010 11:08:39 PM
^ I have looked at the packs of several of the biscuits/cookies that WW makes, and they have all been very high in sugar and fat. WTF?I even bought a couple of different ones, and they were sickly sweet So is it supposed to be "Watch Your Weight Grow"?I guess it is one of those diets where they still make crap for you to eat, but they just pre-assign small portion sizes so that people lose weight... but they are still eating crap, though. And the company's wallet gets fatter and fatter!
1/5/2010 3:27:03 AM
evidence that cals are far more important to control than "junk" food, but still doesn't undermine the importance of a balanced dieti know when i was overweight, my big fear was being restricted to all these "clean" foods but as I found out, it really isn't as important as I thought. I've gone months without cheating on my diet and felt great as a result, but there was really no long term consequence of a night of eating "dirty" foods.
1/5/2010 8:05:09 AM
kudos to him/her for eating grapes, though. it could be potato chips or something worse, haha. but that much coffee is definitely not healthy...
