it's only ok if you aren't really going anywhere of any importance on the weekend. not to work, not on a date, not really out in public, then sure do whatever the fuck you want.

you people :glare:

Apropos to the topic, however, I don't wear sweaters. I just bum around in hoodies yet occasionally wear my nice wool coat (anything wrong with those?) as the occasion dictates.

If that's the case I'm probably not putting on pants let alone 2 shirts. Shit, I'll be lucky if I even put on my bathrobe. Sort of like no pants Sunday.

^It's an awesome look if you're in the cast of Dogma.

Now hold up just and damned minute here. Are you saying that two shirts is now a universal faux pas or just for those who can't pull it off like fatties that make it look like it's just one multi-colored shirt anyways?

No I'm just saying that a long sleeve t-shirt under a short sleeve t-shirt looks dumb. I've never liked the long sleeve underneath a short sleeve look, not with polo shirts, and certainly not with another t-shirt.

Sort of off topic, but am I the only who has noticed that Penny has put on about 20 pounds and gone from a solid 8 to a middling 6.5 since that show started?

Wow, that is rather bizarre and sad. (By bizarre and sad I don't mean you, but rather this new collective derision towards a particular style choice) Who wears them under polo shirts?

That's arguably even worse

and I never thought Penny was extraordinary hot to begin with, but she has definitely taken a step back

So has Robin on HIMYM, imo

Robin sort of has an excuse, I believe she popped out a kid not that long ago. Some chicks don't ever really bounce back from that. I mean, pilgrimshoes's mom did, lord knows that lady is fiiiiiine. Penny on the other had just got complacent. I never thought she was super hot anyway (like I said, a solid 8), but now I don't know that I'd even call her more than slightly above average.

Case in point with Robin...on the episode Monday, she got behind the bar and played up her 'sexy' vibe with the slow motion and the fans blowing

3 years ago, she nails that, and I bone up

But Monday ? It was just sad...she looked 38 years old

ain't a damn thing wrong with:

1) sweaters in general

2) sweaters over dress shirts

OP, don't be mad b/c you dress like a bum.

I like when you spill spaghetti sauce/red wine/blood on a dress shirt and you think FUCK

but then you realize the collar's still cool, so it will still work under a sweater

After getting a shirt dry-cleaned, I get an extra 2-3 wears out of it without having to iron it due to the sweater + shirt combination.

I don't roll up my sleeves for fear of sleeve intergrity

I don't buy cheap sweaters and don't want my sleeves ending up like a goddamn wizard's

really?? Especially during the winter, I will wear a dress shirt at least 2 times before washing it; simply a quick touchup from the Iron and it is good to go. If you are wearing and undershirt, and just wearing the shirt to work, I don't see anything wrong with it unless you are sweating profusely or get some stain on it or something.

Anything that has direct skin contact gets washed with each wear

The one exception are my socks

^^^^So wait, do you wash sweaters each time you wear them? Or do you exclusively wear them with dress shirts underneath? I wear my non v-neck models with just an undershirt underneath and they touch my arms, but I feel no compunction about wearing them 2 or (usually) 3 times between washes unless I've gotten sweaty/dirty/spilled that day.

As to C2A's rewearing of dress shirts, I can see where you're coming from, but I'd actually rather rewash something and hope it comes out of the dryer largely wrinkle-free than go the trouble of the iron touch-up. I hate ironing.
*the exception is dry clean only shit, dry cleaning is expensive

^^You're right [/grammar nazi]

^ I can see that too. For me though, I just iron once on the weekends so I'm only heating it up once and it doesnt take long at all. After the week, any shirts or pants that have only been worn once get ironed quick and ready to be re-used. Since they are hung up before being worn, and hung up afterward, its really just a quick once-over on the arms and stuff. Keeps the dress shirts from getting worn out as fast and just saves energy.

I guess different strokes.

Socks + Underwear + Undershirts, yea I wash every use. Anything else gets more than one use.

Dress shirts and dress pants especially since there is no strenuous activity going on in them get worn multiple times (with a quick touch-up iron like I said). I just have no reason to wash either of them after 1 use.

See, dress pants don't get done every day, usually just a quick splash of water and 10 minutes in the drier. Dress shirts get washed every time though.

I currently only own one pair of wearable jeans. Levis 505s that I bought about 4 years ago. I had another pair of the same kind, slightly lighter wash, until I got a big ass hole in the taintular area of said jeans.

I thought when I got out of school I'd wear jeans less, but I actually wear them more often, just because they're so versatile

I kind of miss my cords, however
