I downloaded the Lose It! app on my phone after CassTheSass's recommendation.

It's pretty dope.

Sunday is weigh in day.

Down only .6 lbs this week. Considering how frequently we ate out this past week, I'm ok with that.

go gluten free. you'll lose weight quickly.

also there's some evidence that gluten makes it harder to gain muscle mass.

gluten is the new carbs is the new fat is the new sugar.

just keep it simple and balanced.

everything. literally, everything processed.

pasta, bread (basically processed carbs), beer, pastries, baked goods (like cakes), anything breaded or fried, and ice cream are a few.

they do make gluten free products for pretty much everything. i've found gluten free bread, pasta, pizza crust, baking flour, ice cream, bagels, etc. i just have to be careful because a lot of it is made with rice and it makes me fatty girl.

that seems like way too much work to be gluten-free haha

but it might be well worth it

I just imagine it would be something I'd try, and fail at

well I really set myself up for some flames with that line, didn't I

eh, its not too bad. i mean i dont have a choice so its like, "either i eat gluten free or i have bad stomach aches and want to " i've been gluten free for 2 months now so its a lot easier now than when i first started.

well I hope it continues to work out for you; it seems like it is your best plan, especially considering the stomach aches otherwise

really I've just been eating less, personally, and stopping when I feel like I'm satisfied

if I exercised, I'd be golden

time for wii fit!

Sunday weigh in. I lost 1.8 pounds this week.

And it took me nearly a month to do it, but I've finally rid myself of all of the damage that I did when I bought Girl Scout cookies from my niece. If she talks me into buying them next year, I'm going to give them away.

post. i have no idea if i've actually lost any weight. but I think I look thinner that I did last week

i should probably get a scale

Haha. Looking thinner is great!

Just buying a scale and weighing yourself regularly will help you lose weight even if you aren't actively trying. It'll make you be a little more conscious of what you're eating.

well I started a food diary at http://www.fitday.com

super helpful in making sure I'm not chowing down way more calories than I should be. and i try to make it so it's mostly protein and not fat and carb calories

hopefully if i stick to it I'll be back down to high school size

I once went from about 170 to a stable 130. I recently went down to 120 when I was under super-stress but am now back to about 140 give or take a couple pounds. Jogging and eating clean to get back around 130 over the next couple months.

Not too stressed out about it; I just want to keep pretty healthy!

I just made some gluten-free cheesy bread with tapioca flour. Would do business with again.

It seems like you have to read a book and count food with diets and eat weird foods that you wouldn't normally eat. Basically, its just more complicated. Peter would be annoyed if I went on a real diet.

the "real" diet is helpful for me to kind of jumpstart the weight loss. after that i get in the habit and it gets easier as long as i stick with it. i've been slacking lately though so i might need to get back on that for a bit

This guy needs to be in this thread:

Quote :
"Costs Too High to Send 600-Pound Fla. Man to Jail

A 600-pound man accused of stealing food or conning local businesses out of refunds was too big and too sick to come to court Wednesday, so he stayed in his nursing home, and his attorney pleaded no contest on his behalf.

Thus ended the five most recent Seminole County criminal cases against George Jolicoeur, a 38-year-old Sanford man who — time after time — has eaten and cheated his way into the local jail.

In general, this is the crime he's accused of committing: He goes into a restaurant or store and demands a refund, claiming he's been sold spoiled or defective food.

In 2005 he pleaded no contest to five crimes. In one, he claimed to have found hair in six milkshakes.

The latest set of crimes took place in 2007. He was arrested the day he went into a 7-Eleven near Oviedo and told a clerk that he'd bought $50 worth of beef jerky only to discover it was moldy.

When a Sanford police officer went to his house to pick him up later that day, Jolicoeur said, " ‘The beef jerky got me,' " according to his arrest report.

Over the next few months, prosecutors charged Jolicoeur with five counts of felony petty theft. He became ill, endured a hospital stay, and then he was moved into a nursing facility.

Prosecutors were in a quandary over how to resolve the charges. Jolicoeur has been bedfast for months in a Winter Garden nursing facility, said Assistant State Attorney Kyan Ware, and he requires a respirator to breathe.

If prosecutors wanted to bring him to trial, the state would have to pay to get him to the courthouse and for any medical care he might need during the proceedings, Ware said.

So instead, Ware offered him a deal: plead no contest to five misdemeanor petty theft counts, pay $1,365 in court costs plus unspecified restitution, and he wouldn't to go to jail or serve probation.

Defense attorney James D. Phillips Jr. took the deal and entered the plea on Wednesday. Details about Jolicoeur's medical condition were unclear. Phillips did not return phone calls.

Ware said there was little chance Jolicoeur's medical condition would improve.

"He's in his prison cell," Ware said Wednesday. "He's not getting out of that bed.""

I'm 176... I think if I can get down to 172 by eating the right way and continuing my workout I'll have the summer body I want... It'll take a while, though.
