You have every right to explain to waitstaff what's beneficial to their financial position (with regards to the potential $20 tip) and doing so ALWAYS results in a good experience for the customer . Perhaps you were thinking she was going to help you get a position at Charles Schwab? Also, I'd guess 98% of waitstaff could care less about the $75 you're bringing in for the restaurant. I can't believe this 5th class waitstaff citizen (in a private establishment) had the nerve to not yield to you.

Seriously, the absolute second any waitstaff ever told me that everyone out of 9 had to order I'd be on my way to the door as I would have known this waitstaffer would rather me get hit by a bus than wait on me, I guess some people need to have a picture drawn but whatever. That and the Waffle house is less than a mile form the shiny diner nullifying these shenanigans...

Off of Buck Jones road near Cary Crossroads. It is beside Borders and Ice House (ice skating) and across the street from Northern Tools.

It's up near Crossroads.

I really wish someone would open a good diner in Raleigh. Enough Yankees around here to do it you would think.

I boycott Gypsy's because it's overpriced garbage food, not because you don't know how to put a bitch in her place.

I don't eat there anyway, since their food is shitty, but this sounds like a classic case of being a group of cheap and rambunctious college kids.

pathetic of gypsy's, but I do remember going to rockola in like 2000 when I was a junior and having a bunch of girls who ordered water and demanded more bread. I didn't even know full dining protocol at that point but I was still unnerved

7 waters, 1st sign of a cheap ass group

well that and the fact you are having trouble typing coherent sentences points to the fact that you were more than likely

If diners didn't serve to drunk loud college students, they would be out of business. I highly doubt they were thrown out for being loud.

Have never been, havnt heard anything on it till now so I guess Ill stay away.

While I understand the meeting and no ordering bit, you cant judge on someone ordering water. Unless I order a real drink, I normally get water as I hate soda when I eat out. I do however understand this as when I was in HS we used to go to this place where I lived. I always made sure I ordered something, then again if it was small groups, at least someones ordering (I def agree if it was 2 or 3 out of 10), and normally this place didnt have a lot of ppl in it, and I know a lot of resturants like some people in it and not dead empty.

I don't like this place either. Waitress was a smartass to me over something on the menu that I thought included fries.

I'd leave if they demanded everyone in the group order even if I was ordering. I have food allergies and if I want to spend time with friends I'm not paying for some shit I can't even eat.

i love gypsy's

why couldn't the last person order a coffee or just say he/she was sharing with someone? Seems like a very easy problem to get around

I would have walked out too. I could understand if the place was packed and half of the group was not ordering, but just one or two people not ordering? that's just bad form.

I've really never understood waitresses getting their panties in a bunch over people ordering water. Sure, the restaurant has every incentive to convince customers to fork over $2.49 for a product that costs them about a nickel. But the waitress stands to make, what, maybe an extra half dollar?

Went there several years ago with some friends for Milkshakes.

Waitress said they didn't make them because the ice cream was in the freezer.

When Raleigh becomes a real city, then we will get a real Greek diner.

Or will a real Greek diner make us a real city? The causation is confusing me.
