Fuck I wish I was 25.

I've done a fair amount of traveling, but other than Canada, Bermuda, and The Bahamas I haven't really been to a foreign country.

For Page 2:

"Save up. Wait til you lose your job or want to switch jobs. Take two months off and back-pack Europe. You might not do anything much after that...but you'll be glad you at least did that.

Only downfall is that it will give you the travel bug and you'll want to do more. Plus side is that after hitting a bunch of shit in two months, you'll be able to pick what places you like best and go back for one or two week stays...or figure out what you missed and go back for one or two week stays."

^ Agreed.

Backpacking Costa Rica is cheap and fun. You'll meet incredible people along the way and you'll experience a world that's entirely different from what we know here. I wish I could have done it for 2 months rather than just 2 weeks, but I still consider it a life-shaping experience.

You won't always want to do more.

I travelled extensively for three summers straight, and man, I am burned out. Perhaps whenever I decide to get married I'll do a honeymoon overseas, but for now, I'm quite happy here in the USA.

That said, everyone should go overseas at least once, especially when they're young. It's a great experience. Europe, Asia, Africa, whatever... just go check it out.

Well...I think that's why you don't want to do more right now. Extensive European traveling for 3 straight summers is A LOT.

I did one backpacking trip for a month and a half. I think I could do another 2 month trip, and that would be all for my European backpacking excursions. After that I would just like to to do one and two week vacations and stay in one area for that period...which would mostly likely happen for a honeymoon or trips with a SO. I probably will never get to that "2 month trip"...but will definitely be going back for smaller trips.

I would LIKE TO...but probably not get around to...backpacking in some South American countries and/or Thailand.

I am the age of 25 and, with the exception of your NY Pizza beatdown, you're probably light years ahead of me, sir.

Dang, I am 26 and just got back from South America. I'd recommend going there and staying in cheap hostels and taking buses all over, it doesn't cost much and you get to experience a bunch o' new things.

i'd recommend hostels almost anywhere

...well the one in 'nam i saw looked kinda sketch but if they have toilets that actually flush themselves then i'm sure it'd be fine.
