isn't the point of a map to tell you names of places ... why do we have maps if we're supposed to know the names ourselves

Considering the fact that I've rarely traveled out of NC/Va, I'm ok with that.

Why wouldn't you know all the states?

The only ones I get confused sometimes on are VT and NH up there 69ing each other.

^^lol...I mean I knew them..when I would click one and it was like "doh that's not it" then I was like dur I knew that...but honestly I don't remember 5th grade geography all that well, and I haven't really traveled that much so it's understandable that I missed a few.

im a geography dork, but im still amazed how many people didnt get all the US states right...you freakin live in this country....i could prob blindly point on a map, given the state, and still come reasonably close to a perfect score

how am I being a douche

I was simply wondering why it's important to know the geographical location of states that have no meaning to me

you've been a prick to me lately for whatever reason, having to bring up the "k" quote for no god damn reason

so whatever dude.

[Edited on March 7, 2010 at 4:32 PM. Reason : and I don't think I bragged at any point about knowing NES songs.]

you bring this upon yourself when you post and throw off implications...just dont post every second you have a chance. i dont want to point out stuff you do, but when you have to post in threads you dont need to, you are just asking for it. and my point on the nes thing isnt that i dont like it, its cool to know trivia stuff and you prob know a bajillion songs more than i do on nes and thats cool, but even had i not liked that im not gonna bust up in that thread and question why you have to know the songs to all those games

to twoozles, they never ask enough geography.

people like to read books, i like to read maps. its a hobby.

Why the hell does everyone know every state? The plain states are so boring and tie together. And the NE states are a clusterfuck as well.
