Seems like eating shrimp from Taco Bell is a declaration you want food poisoning.

(Not directed at you^) I really don't understand all the hate against Taco Bell. It is WAY better than most other fast food places. I've eaten at dozens of different Taco Bell locations for decades, a total of around 1000 times it seems -- and I have never once gotten sick from it. I mean, can anyone show some actual statistics that support the ever-so-common "Taco Bell makes you sick [more often than other places]" comments you hear? If even a small fraction of the huge number of claims that Taco Bell made someone sick were true, how could they stay in business? How is it that I've never become sick? Am I just super lucky?

i tried the shrimp taco, and i liked it.

i was skeptical about fast food sea food, but before I ordered, i head the manager complaining that he had to toss 15 bags of shrimp the previous week because they didn't sell soon enough. So i figured from that they were on top of the freshness of the shrimp.

^^^^I hear you man, Taco Bell's my #2 or #3 favorite fast food place and I've never noticed any "issues"

^have you never had seafood in a taco? It's nothing to sneeze at.

I think I'm gonna get these tacos for lunch on Friday...I will report back later.

It's not just Taco Bell. I wouldn't buy shrimp from any fast food restaurant.

I was just thinking to myself the other day that I dont believe there is a single person in the country who would actually try one of these things. This thread has proven me wrong

I dont care if every review written said that they were the best tacos they've ever eaten, I still wouldnt even think about trying one. Taco Bell's beef and chicken has always been considered to be borderline "meat", I wouldnt trust them to have fresh, real seafood.

I'm pretty particular with my seafood though, I wont eat seafood unless I'm at the coast, at a nice seafood-specific restaurant in land (i.e. 42nd street oyster bar, etc.) or if I'm making it myself

I did grill up some fresh mahi and made some dank fish tacos last week

I won't eat shrimp at Taco Bell, but whatever that shit is that marginally resembles beef I'll eat the fuck out of.

Fresh? Well, no -- of course not. But did you know that you can actually freeze shrimp and still eat it later? Check your grocery for details.

[edit: Oh wait -- yeah. You're a seafood snob. That's cool.]

Honestly, it's just shrimp...I it's not that hard to prepare shrimp...

Other fishes, yeah, you can over cook it if you have it on for half a second too long...

I mean people eat frozen shrimp all the time, frozen flounder, etc. Long John Silvers is a whole fastfood chain built around seafood.

Other fast food chains have fish sandwhiches.

But it's just shrimp. Maybe if they were like these are sushi tacos I would think differently...

I had round 2 a few days ago. I'm telling you they are not bad if you take off that gross white sauce. Throw some fire on those things and enjoy.

I've had my eye on the Pacific shrimp taco for quite some time now. Looking forward to trying it at the kentacohut nearby. I cant see why everyone is so offended by this.

I ordered a couple, and the shrimps were actually nice and plump. Not massive, but not much different than what you find in a typical Red Lobster entre. It was the first time I'd been to Taco Bell in a while.

A+ would buy again

The Taco Bell near my home town had an employee literally shit into the ground beef about 10-15 years ago. It was served to quite a few customers as well, many of whom got sick, including my wife when she was a kid. It was in the newspaper and everything. She refuses to ever eat at a Taco Bell.
