I thought it was just y'all and your white-folk genes. But sure enough, my niece was allergic to eggs as a baby. She wasn't loaded up with antibiotics as far as I know, unless there are antibiotics that all mothers and newborns automatically get.

i found out i have a gluten allergy late last year. you get used to not having things with wheat flour in it pretty quickly when its either "do i want to feel ok or do i want to feel like death for the next day?"

plus there's a lot of gluten-free foods now out on the market. kroger on 6 forks and wake forest road has an amazing selection of gluten-free products right in the front when you walk in.

how come i've never heard of these people until now? and how do you know they would instantly just 'die' from it? how would they know if they are allergic without dying then?

I went to middle school with a girl who was supposedly really allergic to peanuts. Whenever we'd have a class potluck or something she'd try to find something with nuts in it and then say she had to leave the room. But then she told her friends that she was just using it as an excuse to skip out on class.

i don't have any food allergies but have suffered with environmental ones all my life

finally got tested a few months ago and found out i was allergic to cat/dog dander, pollen, and dust mites

i just sat there and watched these bumps on my arms swell up not knowing what each one was from

lately i've been taking steps so i feel better when i wake up in the morning. i recently purchased an air purifier that actually works (i had been using my ionic breeze for years and did not know it sucked ass). i also bought a nice vacuum with a hepa filter and am in the process of buying bed covers. that is a little more expensive. oh yeah, and i bought a dander eliminating shampoo for my dog. i have minor allergies to dogs but have been told i could never have a cat even if i took allergy shots.

I have a severe intolerance to cinnamon, and it sucks, because I love it. Once every year or so, I just say "ohh, what the hell" and gorge on cinnamon rolls and what not, and then suffer for a day or so.

I am allergic to ants and sulfa drugs. Ants could kill me and the drugs give me hives.

2 weeks ago i felt like crap for about 3 days ... i think there was or is some kind of pollen maybe i just got used to it

a lot of people have been bitching about allergies on my news feed

but my gf is always so skeptical or thinks i'm faking ... pisses me off

at least i had an asthma attack at this dude's house due to cat and dog dander

it was worth not being able to breathe just to prove allergies are nothing to fuck with

I saw a CNN report about this peanut sniffing dog they got for this kid who was fatally allergic to peanuts. Rover would sniff down the room for clearance before he came in and shit.

Food allergies do exist, of course.

And they are on the increase in developed countries because of pussy parents wiping their toddlers' hands every time they touch the floor, or throwing away food if it gets dropped on the floor, cleaning and sanitizing everything, etc.

Basically, people's immune systems start having allergic reactions to harmless foods because they are not adequately exposed to real threats.

Hahahah yeah I dont need details. I hope you can figure things out. It's unfortunate anyone has to feel lousy. I ate gluten free for a good week and it was a royal PITA. The pasta substitute is really bad!

If they come in contact with someone who has touched them it can cause them to have a reaction

My brother used to date a girl with tree nut allergies and he couldn't eat nuts if he wanted to kiss her...

so where is the official cut off between allergy and intolerance?

hives covering the entire body?
complete inability to breath?

Maybe, we've pretty much killed off survival of the fittest. It doesn't matter how shitty your genes are, you can survive in today's civilization.

this is why i have collected sediment from around the world. i plan to slip into my babies food for the first two years and then their immune system will kick ass (and be useful for time travel to the past).
