For someone who doesn't travel much, I must be the unluckiest motherfucker ever. Fuck, last year some dumb rednecks were in the left-hand service lane drinking beer, and of course, everybody had to stop. The last time I went home (for spring break), during rush hour(s), it was stop and go. There was no accident, nothing. The time before that, it was also stop and go, and I went around the same time.

So I guess you're lucky as hell, and I'm just unlucky. That, or you travel at different times than me.

I take I-40 East home every day and its usually backed up to some degree. But yesterday I was meeting my dad in Burlington for dinner so I got on I-40 West...


I don't think I went below 70mph the whole time.

I talked to one of the state troopers who said when they got to the scene, they first thought it was red paint from the car smeared on the road. Closer inspection yielded discovery of skull fragments. It covered a considerable distance... If I remember right, the driver of the other car was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic and went around a tractor-trailer and clipped the car of the guy who died.

my gf and i saw this girl in a minicooper speeding in and around traffic on i40, clipped the guy next to her and we were amazed noone flipped, also we were the first ones directly behind the wreck so we were really glad we saw her coming and got as far away from her as possible
