Chocolate Avocado Mousse:1 avocado8 dates, chopped1/4 cup cocoa powder1 teaspoon vanilla extractPlace all ingredients in food processor. Blend– scraping sides when necessary – until smooth.
10/14/2010 10:23:25 PM
wow, that sounds amazing... must try.i don't have a food processor, so i would just mix it by hand to as smooth as i can.(i have access to fresh dates, so blending them in won't be a problem, as opposed to dry dates... have smooth date paste as well)
10/14/2010 10:29:50 PM
I think you'd have a hard time getting it as smooth as it'd need to be if you were mixing it with your hands.

Avocado Ice Cream!3 small to medium avocados1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice1 1/2 cups whole milk1/2 cup honey1 cup heavy creamDirectionsPeel and pit the avocados. Add the avocados, lime juice, milk, and honey to a blender and puree. Transfer the mixture to a medium mixing bowl, add the heavy cream and whisk to combine. Place the mixture into the refrigerator and chill until it reaches 40 degrees F or below, approximately 4 to 6 hours.Process the mixture in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's directions. However, this mixture sets up very fast, so count on it taking only 5 to 10 minutes to process. For soft ice cream, serve immediately. If desired, place in freezer for 3 to 4 hours for firmer texture.
