So are you saying that "real rape" doesn't include girls who were drugged? Did you know certain drugs cause girls to physically be aroused even though they are totally out of it? Would you consider their state of mind a clear objection to what happens to them? Or what about the men who get raped - are you saying if a guy doesn't clearly say "no" and gets physically aroused that it's not real rape?


Sorry but that's ridiculous. And you can't consider some parties to be "consenting" because they're not of age... Even if it wasn't illegal I would hope most people would agree that a 14 year old having sex with a 20+ year old is wrong.

To be fair to your point, I do agree that sometimes things that fall under statutory rape are sticky situations (aka a 15 year old and a 17 year old, because I feel like they would be close to the same mental capacity or whatever you want to call it). However, I think someone in their 20's or older having sex with like a 13 year old is wrong and yeah I consider it rape. Or even if you look at the age of consent - I have met some 16 and 17 year olds that had the mental workings of a 10 year old and I feel like if you have a much older person trying to seduce them you're getting into a tough spot and have to ask when does that cross the line into rape.

And I understand most would think "forced" when they hear the word rape.. but there are situations where the sexual encounter will occur even if neither party flat out says "ok" -- if you don't consent, it's rape, even if not technically forced..

I guess my whole point is rape doesn't have to be utterly violent and brutal... but I do agree sometimes people make bad decisions then go back on it -- and that gives a lot of victims bad names

Actually, they can be raped by females. The law only refers to vaginal penetration so yeah male-to-male rape is considered sexual assault but a man can be raped by a woman.

(I have even checked with one of the court advocates I volunteer with who deal with rape cases daily.)

This could actually be a really interesting and highly debatable topic if it had been started in the right spirit.

Sexuality is a normal part of life and it should not be denied to those with developmental disabilities. There are special considerations when it comes to the sexuality of those with mental handicap, but they have just as much of a right to relationships and sexuality as anyone else.

However, I think that "pityfuck"ing someone with a developmental disability is in poor taste.
