the thing is, being fat isn't like being gay or something. i don't think we should accept it. like i don't even thinkg a lot of overweight people DO accept it. most overweight people want to get healthy.

its more like being an alcoholic or a drug addict. it is an unhealthy lifestyle choice that others don't have to accept and i don't care if overweight people think that is cruel.

i'm not a fattist in the sense that i hate fat people. i don't hate anyone - even drug addicts. but i also DON'T have to condone an unhealthy lifestyle that has the potential to kill you. but i DO, like people with other addiction or mental illness, understand that lifestyle change is hard. fuck, its hard for me to drop like 15lbs....so i can't imagine the type of dedication it takes to drop real weight (or to overcome any other emotional or addiction problem). especially when you throw stress, work, kids, etc on top of everything else.

so no, i don't hate fat people or look down on them. but i don't agree with those protesters. i agree with HEALTHY weight. i get that plus size people can be healthy. so whatever. just be healthy. like yes, size acceptance. i'm down

i know a really hot girl that is a size 16 and doesn't look the least bit fat. you wouldn't walk by and call her fat at all. and she isn't like 8 feet tall either. so no, not everyone should be heidi montag. fuck that shit. but if you are 300lbs and like four foot eight - that is a different story.

I mean, we judge people who dress in crummy clothes...it's the same idea. If you don't respect yourself enough to present as decent an appearance to the world as you reasonably can, then you're basically saying "Judge me! Think less of me!"

I mean, not saying I hate fat people...I have a morbidly obese friend who's one of the smartest mathematicians I know. they're def not all lazy good-for-nothings...but they're lazy and weak with respect to not being fat. Either that, or they've decided that being fat is worth it. In which case, they can bloody well accept the judgment of the world.

I got nothing against jorts, personally, although we're probably all a little old for them now
