alright, just a theory i'd like to throw out...

why not invade and take over mexico and make some more states? then, all we would have to do is protect the canal. don't throw this idea out yet, let it sink in. why did we became so satisfied with our land mass in its current state? people have been fighting over land for thousands of years (which we fought for our land in the first years), why quit? i bet a war with mexico would be cheaper than the 'border control' money and 'illegal immigrant' money that we already spend.

there is alot of ocean front property to take advantage of, and i don't think other nations would really give a shit if we just went down there and took it. just sayin.
