There were several ideas discussed here, some suggested the guys & girls share quarters, some suggested use some of the officer rooms as female rooms as seems to have been done in the example above, some suggested doing all female subs (which would require a lot of on the job training, so it would take a while doing the officer room training thing to build up enough crew for that). I can't recall any other suggestions from that thread off hand.

Anyone know what the plan is for these 2 specifically?

please don't confuse cheap with feasible. there's a reason why it's only the officer corps being opened to women at this time. it is virtually impossible to integrate female enlisted because of the lack of berthing and heads on existing subs. officers have 3 man staterooms and a couple of private heads.

(and for the record, I'm all for women serving on subs. if they want their life to be miserable like all the other nukes i know, more power to them )

I am pretty sure they are starting them off as Junior Officers like they would any other dude, except they will get a stateroom to themselves right away instead of having to earn it.

You won't see any high ranking females on subs for 20 years though.
