iirc, the place she stayed in had only two apartments.
it was house that she lived in the bottom part and the people they were looking for lived in the top. (they were not connected)

No idea why our society lionizes cops. Cops are just the people willing to carry a gun around for little or no money.

Cops have next to no legal training, but they're expected to enforce the law with a gun. Wonderful fucking system we've got here.

Some developers always show from one console for consistency, ie some menus / huds are different. I doubt its so glitchy that they can't show it at this point.

I too don't understand why they shot the dogs. If they pose a threat, just kick it or something non-lethal in a situation where they had a dozen guys handling the scene... Poor Corgi. Also, if they were trained to shoot dogs, what happens when they make a mistake and shot small kids of the same size? Seems very plausible to make a mistake like this in a dark house. It did seem excessive force for the crime, but I wonder if the home owner was a registered gun owner or have had prior arrests.

All in all, the kid still gets hurt emotionally. Think of the children!

in many situations yes

its not like CSI where horatio can scan a guy walkin up to a house with a superscanner and put the scan into the name database and find out who he is right there on the spot.

well if the guy posed a significant threat, wouldn't they just throw in a flashbang before entry? I mean you hear shots fired right when they entered then shot a min later. I can see shooting the pit bull, but the corgi? That draws the line there...

I'd like to know what the warrant was for and the reasoning for so much man power if all they found was a small possession of illegal drugs. If I lived there and this much man power (cost) was used for something stupid like this, I'd be upset as a tax payer.

The real question here is why the police are ripping a family out of bed and shooting their dog by default. A nice follow-up question is why you'd support this behavior, but the answer is obvious and has something to do with the cop balls on your chin
