there's something else to the story if they couldn't identify the body to begin with. 1 week in lake water isn't gonna rot your penis off...right? [Edited on May 20, 2010 at 8:48 PM. Reason : ]

its never too late to tell if its male or female. Unless of course Lake Raleigh water incinerates bone.

well, you don't just snatch a body out of the water and go to ripping open the rotting carcass to count ribs

I have been swimming in lake raleigh and my body has not started to decompose.

i think the dude you quoted was saying that it sounded like it wasn't long enough to reach that level of decomposition[Edited on May 20, 2010 at 9:15 PM. Reason : just going off the ?!?!?!][Edited on May 20, 2010 at 9:16 PM. Reason : yes, there is a ton of study done on it. cadaver farms.]
5/20/2010 9:15:36 PM
my bad. i failed this time at reading comprehension
5/20/2010 9:17:14 PM
but yeah, they have these human decomposition research places where they get cadavers that were donated to science and they put them in various conditions and document the decomposition rates. i'm sure they've done them in a pond before.
