Island Cove...The shell station near the Sheraton.
8/5/2010 11:40:00 PM
...you live in a gas station? Sarah...didn't I warn you against the dangers of that??
8/5/2010 11:49:31 PM
Haha, I live behind a gas station. Althought I might be moving down the road the first of the month. Here is the map for this page. That system off the coast of Africa has been really fast about getting more and more organized, might lead to something big.
8/20/2010 2:39:36 PM

8/22/2010 9:35:32 PM
Hurricane Danielle...looks like it's going to stay out to sea though.
8/23/2010 8:33:49 PM
Just like the other Danielle I know.....a big tease.
8/23/2010 9:04:01 PM

8/25/2010 11:05:43 AM
Tropical Storm Earl.Earl is probably going to hit us.
8/25/2010 5:06:49 PM
If we make it to Matthew I personally guarantee at least a good storm to enjoy with your lady on the glassed in porch
8/25/2010 5:14:35 PM
i like how the maps update even when the post is [old].
8/25/2010 5:20:48 PM
Here is Earl...He's so coming to beat up Mary Anne and Wanda.
8/25/2010 10:09:53 PM
Let's goooooooo! Hopefully Earl will be Andrew or Hugo-esc and get that awful name retired.
8/25/2010 10:14:02 PM
Well I hope it isn't that bad...cause I kinda want to have a house after Earl comes through. Hurricane party on the beach! We will have a contest, last one on the beach wins a case of beer!
8/25/2010 10:15:35 PM
This is how you can tell that we haven't had a very active hurricane season (yet). We have yet to see the article questioning why there aren't more black and Hispanic names on the list. Come on Category 5 Cletus!
8/25/2010 10:28:39 PM
Hurricane Gomer would be the heat.
8/25/2010 10:40:58 PM
8/25/2010 10:42:42 PM
Haha, there won't even be a beach once it gets too close...the surf will be up really high.
8/25/2010 11:18:41 PM
^ That makes the party more exciting.
8/25/2010 11:39:34 PM
If you check out the visible map that shows the clouds and shit, you can see another something coming off the coast of Africa.
8/26/2010 9:35:20 AM
Tis the season. I don't want them that close together though or else the trailing storms don't have the same wealth of warm surface water.

Earl is coming. Y'all in Raleigh will probably even get some of him.
8/29/2010 8:15:51 AM
hope it comes before the football game, my luck he is likely to stall and delay it by a day
8/29/2010 9:58:35 AM
Earl is a hurricane now.
8/29/2010 11:32:33 AM
Definitely gotta keep an eye on this one as if the track shifts west too much more the coast could have a very nasty end to their week.
8/30/2010 8:49:20 AM
Category 4 now. Looks like he's moving more and more west.
8/30/2010 5:05:57 PM
If this thing doesnt start making its turn soon we may be saying goodbye to the outer banks in a few days.
8/30/2010 5:12:46 PM
^ ha yeah. Earl is pissed and that turn keeps getting pushed back later and later.
8/30/2010 5:52:20 PM
Did the weathermen use a vagina diagram as a cheat sheet?
8/30/2010 8:39:56 PM
okay, if you had to make a list of more ethnic and black names for hurricanes what would they be?AlejandroBonqueeshaCassaundraDiedreElgaFrancescoGuadalupeHenneseyIgnacioLamantalamanalaneshaMo'NiqueN'quonde'OprahPraeteshRaheemShawn'teT'qualaWatermelondreaYalonda

8/31/2010 12:07:28 AM
Yeah, and getting stronger and stronger.
8/31/2010 12:15:25 AM

^ i was going to go to bed, but then I realized how close it was to 1:00... I think I'll just stay up a few more minutes..
8/31/2010 12:43:21 AM
same here, it went from a TS to a cat 4 in 33 hours...just anxious to see if its up any strength.I would load the google earth, theres a hurricane plane tracker thing on there but im too lazy to get up.looks like they have it brushing the coast or perhaps with a full on hit depending on the cone.Time to start getting ready for a major hurricane folks, about 2 days out.[Edited on August 31, 2010 at 1:00 AM. Reason : f]
8/31/2010 12:47:58 AM
wow - with every tick it seems to be inching closer to NC coast. Also, the 1.15 has it doing a 70 degree turn; whats up with that?
8/31/2010 1:24:03 AM
So will the Dixie Chicks song make a comeback with this storm?
8/31/2010 3:24:56 AM
this hurricane better not mess up my saturday.... or house for that matter.
