It's really not that much money.I mean for cost reference here is how much it costs to build the new wake county court house.http://www.wakegov.com/NR/rdonlyres/7040870F-2893-4F14-A192-F69FDFA68E06/0/JCCostSummary.pdfFor those who don't want to read it, 187million dollars.

When your entire school endowment is $500 million, $40 mil is a huge gift no matter what the fuck a new government building costs!

What's a clubhouse have to do with education, anyway?
12/19/2010 12:22:51 PM
not much, but it could go a long ways toward future donations. a multi-million dollar clubhouse that can also serve as a wedding reception venue, with a bar/restaurant/locker room/big bathrooms/wrap-around porch/etc, will impress donors a lot more than the doublewide they have nowand the celebs who play in the Jimmy V Classic will be impressed

ahahahahahaha an engineer gave his donation to managment and chassthats awesome, guess not all engineers are idiots

reinforces my beliefs that Colleges and Universities are just businesses who happen to sell (crappy) educations, rather than a solid educational institution who happen to receive donations.

that's why the NBA and NFL do not need minor leagues - they have college athletes
