If they are from some of the rural areas, yes. If they are from the DC or Baltimore area, not a chance. Regarding Texas, people from there are not "southerners". They are Texans, which is quite a bit different.

ask someone from SC if Marylanders are "southerners."Most of them think NC is a bit too far north.

maryland is all jews and blacks.blacks can be southerners but jews certainly can not be.so of course not, no one classifies maryland as southern.
