a woman?with opinions?WHY I NEVER[Edited on May 5, 2011 at 6:10 PM. Reason : i have apparently posted in this thread before, which comes as news to me]
5/5/2011 6:08:52 PM
opinions are like assholes: exit only
5/5/2011 6:10:57 PM
so i have another opinion i want to ask ya'll...now of course let me preface this with i am 99% sure im gonna call a dermatologist today or monday and set up an appointment and am not using tdub as a diagnosis but does this mole look suspect to anyone else? i've had it for as long as i can remember but in the past 3 or so years its gradually gotten a little bigger.lengthwise its like a cm....but the fading colr is what freaks me out :/
5/6/2011 11:19:37 AM
If it's changed yes. I have moles with jagged edges, fading, etc but the derm said they were fine unless they change. Also, the cancer looks kinda scabby? If that makes sense? I felt better after seeing a derm but I wouldn't worry too much about it.
5/6/2011 11:21:21 AM
really, what if new moles pop up unexpectedly?i get more and more every year.my stomach and back is like a game of connect the dots
5/6/2011 11:22:39 AM
Wouldn't worry until they're scabby and really stand out like "hmmm this isn't right"Also, I'd probably see a derm once a yr. I haven't gone to one in a while but now that I have insurance I will to make sure it's all clear.[Edited on May 6, 2011 at 11:25 AM. Reason : this is my complete uneducated opinion fyi ]
5/6/2011 11:24:25 AM
nah its fine.this is a new frontier for me.im in a weird situation too....my grandmother, aunt, and uncle were all dx with skin cancer at one point in their lives and had to have it removed.my mom has not.but i also don't share the same "skin" as them. i've never been sunburned. i've never peeled.i've tanned a few times before but even that is a feat....i just stay the same color usually.[Edited on May 6, 2011 at 11:32 AM. Reason : i do however gt windburnt every. single. winter. ]
