yes, surely there is confirmation bias...but just as surely, there is a significant correlation between wealth and attractiveness.and last I heard, Warren Buffett drives a Lincoln Town Car with a license plate that says "THRIFTY".

I've literally never seen an attractive woman that drove a Mustang. They are ALWAYS whale-beasts.EDIT: Then again I don't really think of a Mustang as a "nice car" anymore.[Edited on October 14, 2011 at 2:22 AM. Reason : f]

I actually don't know of a correlation between wealth and attractiveness. Attractiveness/income...sure, it exists to a point...but even then, I don't know that the difference in income accounts for a difference in vehicles. And, if you spend your extra income on a nice vehicle, then you don't end up any wealthier than the other guy. Also, I'm not saying that some people are just inherently concerned with appearances like it's some kind of bad thing. A lot of times, appearances are part of the job--you have to dress nice, look nice, and drive a nice car for clients and crap.A bloated, greasy-haired guy in sweat pants and an '82 Tercel isn't exactly gonna be closing any business deals. But if he goes to the gym, takes a shower, gets some new duds, and buys a nice car...all of the sudden, he's "attractive," and we're all acting stupid like it's some kind of mystery.

Women who are very concerned with their appearances do spend a bit more money. Looking really good is expensive, apparently. One of my gfs spends the following on just her beauty routine:$300 hair cut/color/tip every 6 weeks (often enough to cover the gray) = $2400/year$350 keratin treatment 3 times a year = $1050/year$1000 Botox and Juvaderm every 6 months = $2000/year$60 Glycolic acid facials monthly = $720/yearThat's over $6k annually, without including clothing and smaller cosmetic treatments. She also gets a cosmetic procedure done about once a year (nose, breasts, lipo, cheeks) ... at the price range of approximately 4k to 10k per year. And she drives a 2010 Escalade and is trading up at the end of the year.Lookin' good ain't cheap. Luckily, she has a great job that pays well. And so does her husband.
