People take Christmas way too seriously.

My fiancee's family and my family both live here and they all love getting together so we started doing one holiday together. Last year it was thanksgiving, this year it's Christmas. It works out really well. Plus we see our family all the time (multiple times a month) so feelings dont really get hurt.

With both sets of parents divorced the four family Christmas is basically impossible with travel. This year we are giving up and only doing 1/4 (the 1/4 that lives in Raleigh) of the family for Christmas day.
