I wonder if the players are happy? Did they view this like a vacation in an exotic location and are now bummed out about not going...or happy that they no longer have to deal with potential crime, lack of fans/family, etc

Put your mind in the mind of an 18-25 year old male. Free-ish international trip. Hot, exotic ladies. Brazilian bikini bottoms.
Team security. As long as someone doesn't fuck up logistics and schedules aren't too tight, I don't see what's not to like. If any player puts up gaudy numbers, there will be tv coverage for future portal scouts.

I was one of the (apparently) ~50 people who weren't family of the teams who had tickets to the Brazil game. They just emailed again about refunds.

We're still going to Brazil regardless, and fortunately didn't do one of their package deals. We just got two game tickets (plus the tailgate and Christ the Redeemer tour add-ons).

Ranked 39th in the useless preseason/coaches poll, unless maybe they start you out in the top 15 and give you a little bias. I really think we can move in between 20-25, and make some noise as Louisville visits Raleigh.

I’m excited football is back as well. Feels like the start of the season totally snuck up on me. Maybe it’s just the bubble I’m in, but feels like general excitement levels are tempered. Even though outside the fanbase I do see some of the “they have a favorable schedule and could be a dark horse to make the ACC title game”, feels like the fan base is rather ho hum about it. Maybe that’s just my bubble I’m in. Maybe it’s just what happens in year 14 or whatever year it is now of DD. Maybe it’s because our portal class wasn’t filled with big/familiar names like it has been in the past.

Anyways I’m sticking with my page 1 prediction of 12-0 but through some weird tiebreaker scenario we don’t even make the ACC title game.
