Fuck, Plumlee is off the board.

Tree you're just not intelligent enough to have a conversation with. I just explained what it does. It's not meant to rank players. Saying a guy is #7 doesn't mean he wont be better than #2. If he's #7 he should be a good player. It identifies obvious busts and sleepers. It's not perfect science these are kids. It is light years better than scouts/gm drafting abilities though. That's been proven. Just look at the scouts track record, they are terrible. The algorithm is amazing. It had malik rose as a sleeper. Where was he drafted, #55??? Thats awesome.

Our algorithms and models are never wrong. Thanks,Lehman Brothers
6/28/2012 10:16:44 PM
It's not meant to be rankings and its not meant to never be wrong. Its meant to be an aid. It's meant to be significantly more correct than scouts/gm and the true draft order. Which it clearly is.
6/28/2012 10:34:11 PM
we just drafted the 91st overall RANKED player at 31? Arturo will give us a D- at best
6/28/2012 10:34:52 PM
Typical bobcats. Ton of talent on the board and we intentionally draft someone terrible instead. That pick was worse than taking kemba over Leonard and faried last year.
6/28/2012 10:37:52 PM
Hopefully this will be one of the rare times the algorithm is off the mark. Welcome to the machine, Mr. Taylor.]
6/28/2012 10:39:21 PM
On the plus side, 2/3's of the guys you listed as sleepers can probably just be signed to the D-League after the draft.
6/28/2012 10:40:57 PM
Cuban is a genius, no surprise he loved crowder since he uses mathematical models all the time. You'd have to do crowder for zeller straight up

DT44 is a patient guy, but I'd imagine he's getting upset at these children's basketball incompetence
6/29/2012 1:12:55 AM
2 small forwards....whaaat?
6/29/2012 3:34:48 AM
I think beal will be slightly better but especially the first few years, but its easier to find SG than sf/PF. Plus we have 4 SG on the roster this year and 0 sf if we can't resign derrick brown.
6/29/2012 8:12:39 AM
still think we should have traded down to get 4 and 24 at least, if not MKG we could have had Robinson at 4 plus another pick. owell don't hate the pick but i don't think MKG will make an immediate impact
6/29/2012 9:23:46 AM
Mkg is better than Robinson, but I agree having the extra pick would have been nice. However, we wouldn't have taken anyone good with it. We used the #31 on a guy who should've gone undrafted and most of the next couple of picks like crowder and Barton will be stars...Hell the spurs took a guy at #59 that will probably be one of the best guys in the draft when its all said and done

MKG and Taylor definitely guarantee one thing -- our perimeter defense is going to be miles better. Both were said to be the best wing defenders in the class. Looks like our rotation next year isKemba/DJHenderson/Ben Gordon/Reggie WilliamsMKG/Taylor/Derrick BrownTyrus Thomas/DJ WhiteBismack/MullensCould really, and I mean really, use some more help at PF, but 1-3 looks semi solid.
6/29/2012 10:49:49 AM
That lineup looks like the Bulls circa 2007-08. Should be a good team in transition. Chicago won 33 games that year. Sounds about right.[Edited on June 29, 2012 at 11:33 AM. Reason : 2]
6/29/2012 11:31:38 AM
We really don't want to win 33 games. Ideally we win 15-20. Another top 5 pick is a must for our long term goals.
6/29/2012 11:51:57 AM
I say we win 21 next year21-61, 4th overall pick
6/29/2012 11:55:24 AM
Too early to tell . Were still trying to move tyrus and he put on 20lbs of muscle already. Our best player is a restricted free agent. If we let brown go ill lose it
6/29/2012 12:07:47 PM
Can't defend you on that comment buddy
6/29/2012 12:29:51 PM
Brown was .157 last year, no one else was above .05If you look at the stats no one was even close to his level really
6/29/2012 2:16:23 PM
Huge we gave brown and augustin qualifying offers. Looks like not for dj white though. I would've given him one more season but no big loss probably. Love how Portland got #6 pick for Wallace and we got dj white and kemba. Thanks mj
6/30/2012 12:38:21 AM
I'd love mkg if he could develop a shot, but I really wish we'd gotten bealdefinitely prefer mkg over trob
6/30/2012 1:17:28 AM
DJ White sucks. He hustles, but he's not talented.
6/30/2012 5:35:55 AM
Yeah he played pretty well early last season but then really tailed off. No big loss, would obviously rather keep brown. I doubt augustin gets any real meaningful multi year offers, wouldn't be surprised if we play him on the QO this year. He didn't play as well last year and had a lot of injuries and no one has a glaring need for a pg
6/30/2012 6:54:08 AM
I saw somewhere that JJ Hickson is an unrestricted free agent as of yesterday. He's young, athletic, and plays with intensity ... He'd definitely help us out at the PF position.First Wolfpacker to start for the Bobcats?
7/1/2012 12:55:47 PM
dont see it happening
7/1/2012 1:06:57 PM
He may get a minimum contract from someone but he's already been dumped by three of the worst teams in the league, he may have done enough damage to be out of the nba
7/1/2012 1:56:42 PM
He proved himself to be a valuable player when he was picked up by Portland this past season, but they won't really need him when LaMarcus Aldridge comes back. Any team in need of a PF would be stupid not to sign him.
7/1/2012 2:21:02 PM
His problem is that he stinks defensively. You're probably right that he played well enough in Portland for someone to give him a contract. I'd expect someone like the nets or magic to end up with him.
7/1/2012 2:27:48 PM
7/1/2012 2:34:00 PM
If there's a complaint about his attitude (which I haven't heard, but haven't really been listening for) then it probably has to do with coach-ability, not intensity. I think he's complained about minutes in the past, but on the court he plays as hard as anyone.I watched one of his first games with Portland against the Grizzlies, and he was downright un-guardable in the second half. He finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds in limited minutes, and almost beat a much better Grizzlies team by himself. He averaged 15+ points and 8+ rebounds with Portland; no reason he can't do that here.
7/1/2012 4:13:45 PM
I'd love to see Hickson in a Bobcats uni.
7/2/2012 12:14:09 AM
Hmmm ... Rich Cho and I appear to be on the same page

Marc J. Spears ?@SpearsNBAYahoo Free agent F Antawn Jamison, an ex-North Carolina star, will be visiting the very interested Charlotte Bobcats Fri and Sat, source tells Y!
7/3/2012 10:10:47 AM
Dude is 36 years old.Why would a rebuilding team be very interested?
7/3/2012 10:17:12 AM
Not sure, but this team could probably use at least one veteran who doesn't completely suck
7/3/2012 11:02:37 AM
^there's a lot of youth on the team. maybe having a guy who's had a 14 year career can help develop Biyombo/Mullens and god forbid, Tyrus Thomas. they're not going to break the bank to sign him...probably one year, maybe a bit more than the veteran minimum.
7/3/2012 11:32:27 AM
Seems like a dumb move on his part. You can live in Charlotte for the rest of your life, but you can only play ball for another year or two. Chase the fucking ring.
7/3/2012 11:47:30 AM
he's a momma's boy
7/3/2012 12:04:52 PM
Back to JJ ... here's highlights from a game against the Clippers. He had 29 points and double digit rebounds. Monster jams incoming: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wi9AHvhUh9Q&feature=relatedAnd here's a single-clip of him dunking over Jeremy Evans (slam-dunk contest winner) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJZpdnVXKzY[Edited on July 3, 2012 at 2:51 PM. Antawn makes sense. You need one veteran leader on the team to guide the young guys. Plus, he was absolutely terrible last year so he'd help ensure we land another top five pick.
