I would never have imagined how many 'politics' are involved in the job I do. Oh well, I can honestly say that they pay me well enough to stress the fuck out of me during the week, forget about it over the weekend while I have a blast spending a fraction of my paycheck, and come back for more on monday

oh god dont even get me started..i deal with this shit all the time. basically, company started with just the owner doing sales..so, deals were pretty much on the fly as he made them..we got PO's, we got paid, deal was done..that was good enough. now i'm having to update pricing on engineering analysis sheets that we DON'T have for a lot of jobs because well, the fucking OWNER negotiated the price and didn't care about a damn price the engineers said was good

yeah..that means i have to re-create sheets that don't exist, get them to match current pricing, update shit, hope it works, send it to sales executives, hope it's right and then it goes to customer

so much bullshit

I hear you man. I can't talk about 90% of my job, or else I get fired and go to jail, haha

but I will say it's fucking stressful to do your job, and then somehow have people angry with you because they didn't do what you told them to do....and were chewed out by their higher ups....
it's all good though. I got the OK from my manager's manager to "make it hurt" when they don't listen to what I tell them to do.
