Dirk is a 7 footer who shot 46% his first full season (second season overall...just like Mullens)but face hates centers if they don't play like Diop
7/20/2012 6:53:57 AM
7/20/2012 10:07:08 AM
Weird , you just named two centers who in their prime were really good players. No one is arguing that dirk was good his rookie year.Mullens is on his way out of the league, the guy is just plain terrible. If you can't see that you are literally blind.[Edited on July 20, 2012 at 10:24 AM. Reason : a]

You're a moron. In his prime pryz was an awesome rebounder and shot blocker. He got hurt though right after he developed. And dampier was an elite center for a few years that was making like $11 million a year.Mullens is one of the worst players in the league and he couldn't make most rosters right now. Maybe he improves or maybe hes on his way overseas

Are you retarded? Those are great stats for 26 minutes per game. Portland was loaded with big men so he didn't get 40 minutes per game. Are you really trying to say pryz wasn't a top big man before he got injured?? Guy was a stud. There's nothing to argue here.

7/20/2012 1:09:22 PM
goddam, you are getting trolled hard, son
7/20/2012 1:23:59 PM
Great rebounder and shot blocker he was over .20 wp48 for gods sake.If you don't think pryz was a good player I don't know what to tell you. The trolling is getting ridiculous
7/20/2012 1:30:39 PM
over .20 wp40!!
7/20/2012 1:35:27 PM
7/20/2012 4:53:24 PM
Washed up in 2011 obviously. He was never quite the same after his big injury several years ago

Face is either trolling hardcore or an idiot. Maybe both.

tough summer league again for Kemba, just don't think he has what it takes to play in the NBA.He can get to the line at this level but coming off a season where he shot a putrid 36% FG (byron mullens territory!) he shoots an even worse 35% in the freaking summer league including 7% from 3's. Ew.His steals are up and his turnovers down but that could be a fluke or just a byproduct of the weaker competition. The guy needs to figure out what shots he's capable of hitting fast though.
7/21/2012 9:44:02 AM
^It was a beautiful 7% though.
7/21/2012 10:00:48 AM
fwiw rondo can't shoot worth shit either. lets give kemba a little longer before we say he doesn't have what it takes to play in the NBA.
7/21/2012 6:19:51 PM
You're right and until recently neither could Chris Paul.Any other hall of famers that Kemba compares favorably to?
7/21/2012 10:35:25 PM
nevermind[Edited on July 21, 2012 at 10:42 PM. Reason : i'm asking for it posting in an nba thread]
7/21/2012 10:42:15 PM
^^chris paul has always been a decent to good shooter.
7/21/2012 11:13:51 PM
7/21/2012 11:22:30 PM
he's apparently getting better at the passing thing. I'm not saying he's going to be as good as Rondo, but he's a decent talent that'll probably be in the league for a while. Might not be a superstar, but with the right people around him, he could probably develop into a solid starting PG in the NBA. the guy shot around 78% last year from the stripe, which is a good bit better than rondo ever did. His shot got better each year at UCONN and the guy is clearly still developing as a player.
7/21/2012 11:29:45 PM
why didn't Kemba come into the league as an NBA-ready superstar? its not fair, he's already washed up

7/22/2012 10:57:30 AM

The chance that kemba develops into a backup pg is slim at this point
7/22/2012 12:19:21 PM
next thing you know face will be calling john wall a bust.
7/23/2012 10:22:45 PM
I think john wall will break out this year. He had q tough season, but his numbers the last ten games or so were nice. The wizards have some legit nba talent now, they may even be a playoff team.
7/24/2012 6:07:59 AM
7/24/2012 8:09:40 AM
I'm with MartinName me eight better rosters in the East
7/24/2012 9:37:26 AM
they might be fighting for the 8th seedHeat, Celtics, Bulls, Knicks, Nets, Sixers and Pacers are all betterif Dwight stays put in Orlando they're a better teami just think its funny that rally already declared it obvious that Wall was a bust during his rookie season, and now he's saying he's gonna have a breakout year
7/24/2012 9:46:00 AM
Wall has been better than i thought he'd be, but he still hasn't been good yet obviously. They've got quality talent around him now though. Nene resumed his great play in Washington and they just added Okafor and Ariza who are both solid. We don't know if Beal is NBA ready, but he'll almost certainly be better than the trash they've played at SG in years past. They got rid of all the terrible guys who were killing the team like Blatche, Rashard Lewis, and Nick Young. Mcgee is a good player but they replaced him adequately. They've already got plenty of talent like James Singleton (limited minutes but he was awesome when he played last year),Trevor Booker, Cartier Martin, Vesely (solid rookie year), Kevin Seraphin, and Chris Singleton. It's really quite a deep roster. They lack star power but as of right now they look like a .500 team and if Wall develops into a good player they will be solid.
7/24/2012 10:10:19 AM
Good day for the bobcats. The pistons signed Jonny Flynn and we have their #1 pick. He will help them lose an extra couple of games to ensure we get the highest pick possible as the protections expire
9/24/2012 3:03:22 AM
So far I really like Dunlap as new coach. Great quote today. "Coaches need to stay out of MKG's way, so as not to disrupt the instinctive way he played in college."You certainly can't argue with the results Larry brown had turning around teams but I think that was mostly because he made shrewd moves and turned over nearly entire rosters until he got a team he could win with in place. I think he destroyed or at least stunted the development of several young players with his no nonsense, ultra scripted, play my way or not at all style. Execution is super important but at this level you've gotta put guys in position to succeed and let them play. You can't play at your best by stressing out about every move.
10/7/2012 10:30:11 PM
Maybe it's cause this team has absolutely no expectations, but I'm really looking forward to this season. Interested to see how Gordon, Sessions, and MKG fit in ... interested to see if Dunlap really tries to use a full-court press defense ... interested to see if Mullens 'stache re-emerges.In a year when State is being called an ACC favorite, it's gonna be a nice contrast to watch the Bobcats -- a team everyone expects to (and probably will) suck.
10/8/2012 2:16:41 AM
Shit, had no idea the preseason started last night. They beat the Wizards 100-88. A few notes:Henderson: 19pts, 4 rbsGordon: 16pts (6-11 shooting)Sessions: 14pts, 5 rbs, 5 ast MKG: 12pts, 6 rbs, 3 stlsMullens: 18pts, 8 rbs*Kemba and Haywood started but didn't really do anything. Bismack had 0 point, 5 rbs, and a block
10/8/2012 2:28:00 AM
mullens for mvp
10/8/2012 3:02:22 AM
I still like biyombos potential but this is a big year for him. We knew he'd be raw last year, but he needs to show he improved this offseason. If he hasn't improved then he's a lot more likely to never round out and always just get by on sheer athleticism. Not exactly what we should hope for out of a lottery pick. At least the pick had potential though unlike near certain bust kemba. Just an egregious pick with stars like faried and Leonard still on the board.
10/8/2012 8:19:24 AM
someone has a really sweet opportunity here to joke about how we'll probably be underdogs this week!
10/8/2012 7:39:06 PM
Versus Hornets? Are they very good? After Heat come back from China, we will face them in Raleigh!
10/8/2012 8:15:07 PM
Bobcats fucked up bad with the 2011 draftBrandon Knight is and was clearly better than Kemba, and Faried is and was clearly better than Biyambo and yeah, history will almost surely show Kawhi Lenoard to be a top-5 dude out of that draftKidd-Gilchrist is the first truly good pick in the franchise's existence; maybe it's a harbinger of things to come
10/8/2012 8:22:30 PM
Because the owner of cats is MJ! Now he pays back for all the honors he earned as a player.
10/8/2012 8:26:39 PM
Mullens is actually off to a solid start. He's expanded his range out to the 3point line so he's not such a liability on offense. He still can't rebound though.Really tough start for Sessions, Tyrus, and MKG unfortunately.Biyombo is playing great and Kemba has played better so far. Let's hope that lasts.
10/19/2012 11:31:08 PM
10/20/2012 12:32:25 PM
He'll be a star eventually; the intangibles are off the chart with him. There's plenty of great players who couldn't shoot when they first got in the league. Some guys eventually learn to shoot (Jordan, Lebron, Westbrook). Some guys never become good shooters but still have great careers (Shawn Marion, Gerald Wallace, Rondo). MKG is the youngest player in the NBA (I think?). He'll be just fine ... just might take a few years.
