any babies with my genetics aren't going to just pop out; they're C-sections just waiting to happen.
5/6/2008 1:48:34 PM
good point. if we have kids, you're just guaranteeing yourself about 100k in plastic surgery bills farther down the line.are you suuuuure you wanna do that?
5/6/2008 1:51:09 PM
you could try to have them naturally I suppose, but I'd hate to see the expression on your face when you hear the doctor say "I can see the head! Now here come the shoulders..."
5/6/2008 1:56:33 PM
both of us have some serious issues. i think it would be inhumane for us to have kids. like, cruelty to the human race or something but i still luv ya, issues and all 99 hours and 30 minutes...
5/6/2008 2:02:25 PM
I'm gonna have like fifteen kids.
5/6/2008 2:40:51 PM
as long as i can be a stay-at-home mom to take care of them, i'll have as many as he wants of course, having more than one child also requires him to get me a boob job and tummy tuck a few years after we're done procreating
5/6/2008 3:23:50 PM
OH yeah.In my line of work (day-job is photographing schools, I'm the official "picturelady") I deal with kids all the time. At first I was terrified of the responsibilties of child handling, and then my body clock started ticking. It's like a switch got turned on, and now kids don't seem like such a huge goal way off in the distance. Still quite a bit down the road, of course, but not the impossible challenge that I always viewed it to be.Now I'm on a husband-hunt fo-real.
5/6/2008 3:28:28 PM
^ahem.
5/6/2008 3:30:10 PM
haha husband-hunt 98hours
5/6/2008 3:30:44 PM
Yeah, I'm serious, it's like every dude I meet I am no longer looking for sexuality. It's like I'm scanning his behavior for husband-like qualities or something. Sounds sick but it's true - photographing couples tie the knot every weekend has really got the gears turning about what they're actually doing and how important it is. It's an honor to be invited in to their lives for one day and to be able to artistically document something that huge, but it's also a big learning experience for me about what lies in wait down the road.[Edited on May 6, 2008 at 3:33 PM. Reason : 98 and counting, woooooot!]
5/6/2008 3:33:11 PM
i seriously don't know how you take pictures at all these weddings without crying your eyes out i can't even think about a wedding without tearing up. and if it's someone that i know getting married, it's even worse.shit, i'm just an emotional wreck right now. i heard Enrique Iglesias' "Bailamos" on the radio this morning and cried all the way to work
5/6/2008 3:35:27 PM

5/6/2008 3:37:08 PM
pretty much
5/6/2008 3:38:18 PM
Actually I do cry a lot. It's hard to shoot and cry but it happens. I just pause to wipe a tear away and put the camera back up to my eye. Sometimes the vows are just so powerful, and this one bride down at Lake Johnson was just so emotional. The groom started tearing up, and then she did too, and when she was repeating her vows she just spoke literally through her eyes. I caught some shots of her just looking up at him with those expressive eyes, and had to take a moment to collect myself. It's hard when you really get to know a client over the months and then they're exchanging vows and rings - they're real people, lol. Best job on the planet!
5/6/2008 3:38:23 PM
ok i just started crying...again...for the 4th time today. thanks! i'm gonna be crying and laughing all at the same time, and then i'm gonna start laughing and snorting and it's just gonna be a big ol' mess
5/6/2008 3:41:04 PM
LOL, you're gonna be fine!
5/6/2008 3:43:33 PM

i hope youre inviting north american video to the wedding.
5/7/2008 10:35:55 AM
aww! You'll be fine! What is a 'trash the dress' photo shoot? I don't think I have heard of this. I want to buy a $99 wedding gown when its time for me to get hitched, because I sure as crap won't be wearing it again, it'll just take up closet space, no woman ever wants to wear another woman's wedding dress so there's no point in saving it for my daughter (kinda like engagement rings - unless it was his grandma's or something. But grandma's dress would be SO outdated that practically no woman would wear it - unlike engagement rings.), and I don't want to feel bad about throwing away a $1000+ dress. Plus, all that money I would have spent on a dress can be spent on the honeymoon or on flowers.[Edited on May 7, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Reason : ]

a "trash the dress" photo shoot is exactly what it sounds like - a photo shoot in which a bride trashes her dress. this can be achieved in any number of ways. most commonly, a woman will put on her dress and go fishing, hunting, hiking - something dirty and not typically done while wearing a wedding gown! i plan to go to a strawberry farm and pick strawberries and play with the goats they have on the farm.
5/7/2008 1:05:03 PM
no, i'm not inviting NAV to the wedding. the only person i still keep in contact with is Patrick, and even then it's few and far between. i hear from him maybe once a month
