Time to regulate. I had a cat that was insanely aggressive and he knew me as water turret man. He calmed down real fast, no likey water.

ook things are going better nowmy big cat is just watching the little cat explore. i let little cat out of her room because the crying was annoying and i think that was causing big cat to growllets hope this work. haven't heard a hiss or growl in awhile. and little cat is just wandering around and hasn't tried to approach big cat.ok i take that back the just had a mini stare down. big cat hissed and little cat just backed away.[Edited on September 30, 2009 at 8:56 PM. my big cat and my old roommate's cat were like that to begin with--especially my big cat.he would hiss at the door, hiss if he saw her. HISSHISSHISSHISSHISS. and then he would run hissing from her with absolutely not provocation. this ended shortly after we let them go (usually we were holding them or had them otherwise restrained or separated because we were afraid one of them would attack the other). there was no problem when i brought home a third cat, though.

does anyone know anything about plants that are toxic to cats?i have a schefflera plant (its like super old my parents have had it for like 20 years but i have it now)my old cat has never show interest in eating it so i wasn't worried about it being toxic, but new kitty seems insistent on tasting it. but google seems to indicate that it IS toxic to plants; however, the list of plants that are apparently toxic to cats is so freaking long i feel like if all of them were SERIOUSLY toxic to cats people wouldn't let their kitties outside like, ever.just wondering if anyone knows for sure or if there are any other resources (besides google) i should check out. i guess i could just call the vet on monday and ask!

Pretty much anything that isn't meat or grass is toxic to cats it seems like lol.
10/3/2009 10:39:21 PM
i know!!! i mean if it just makes her barf when she eats it (like my other cat eats house plants sometimes and just throws up and i'm like - welp, you learned your lesson) then i don't really care. but if it is more than that, then i do care i guess. not tryin to rack up anymore vet bills
